Regarding episode 4 [sp] When did Major Briggs die in a fire?[/sp]
I've never seen this show or the original, but reading the NYT review, [t]https://static01.nyt.com/images/2017/05/22/arts/22PEAKSREVIEWJP/22PEAKSREVIEWJP-master675.jpg[/t] that is beautiful color harmony. I want to watch. Should I start with the originals?
Yes. Oh god yes. Also, you'll learn that David Lynch is obsessed with colouring scenes properly

despite loving twin peaks i cannot, with faith, recommend watching the old series. its old tv from an old time, and any episode that wasn't directed by lynch was so bad that lynch himself had to come back and actively set the plot straight. this is not a popular public opinion among twin peaks fans but they know it to be true as soon as they think about season 2 or any episode with james in it. imo either find a list of good episodes, or find the fanedit "Northwest Passage" which doesn't show most of season 2 after the A Plot is wrapped up nor Fire Walk With Me, or watch a retrospective recap that covers everything you need to know.
nor Fire Walk With Me, or watch a retrospective recap that covers everything you need to know.
if you don't watch FWWM you should not be allowed to watch the third series. there should be a lockout thing like old adventure game antipiracy that asks key questions only answerable by watching the movie. the fact youre saying all this makes me think of you as like.. the kinda person who watches it just for the Comfy Cooper Peaks shit that has become A Meme now. which is the exact kind of person that Lynch is now trying to kick out with the new series tbh the fact Lynch has the balls to go "you must be this bonkers to ride" is A+ IMO
Am I the only one who's bummed out that Harry Truman didn't come back? He was low key one of my favorite characters in the original show.
Am I the only one who's bummed out that Harry Truman didn't come back? He was low key one of my favorite characters in the original show.
sadly his actor has retired
I'm kinda bummed that there aren't more musical cues in the new series considering how often they came up in the TV series, but the few times they've come up so far they make it seem so much more special, like [sp]when Bobby sees the picture of Laura and Laura's Theme from the original comes up, I don't know why but I love it so much![/sp]

I can't get over how well the Alan Wake team predicted how Twin Peak's story would continue
I can't get over how well the Alan Wake team predicted how Twin Peak's story would continue
The real reason why it was taken off the market
So ep 4 [sp] Albert and Gordon were talking about Audrey at the end, right? [/sp]
So ep 4 [sp] Albert and Gordon were talking about Audrey at the end, right? [/sp]
Probably, but [sp]Not sure why she would stay in Twin Peaks, considering she's seen nothing but insanity there, and easily has enough money to just outright leave[/sp]
So ep 4 [sp] Albert and Gordon were talking about Audrey at the end, right? [/sp]
I was thinking [sp]either her or Diane.[/sp]
so its good?
I was thinking [sp]either her or Diane.[/sp]
What about [sp]Annie?[/sp]
what the fuck is this midget scene
What about [sp]Annie?[/sp]
[sp]I wouldn't be surprised if Annie isn't really addressed again. Lynch hated the second half of season 2 and Heather Graham isn't in the cast anyway[/sp]
[sp]The lady with her eyes covered with the weird time flickering in the purple room reminded me of another David Lynch film, Eraserhead, and the scene with The lady in the Radiator. I wonder if there's some sort of mythology connection here. Is this the lady in the outlet? Is the pink realm inside an outlet? Are all electrical devices inhabited by spirits? It wouldn't be the first time David Lynch crossed mythological elements and ideas across films... As for why the lady pulls a level, is flushed into space and is replaced with a different lady, I couldn't tell you.[/sp]
[sp]the lady is a representation of Josie. Josie's doorknob form had no eyes, and people in the Great Northern were able to see her face in fireplaces (as said at the very end of S2). she was staring into a fireplace and was dressed in a totally Josie outfit.[/sp]

Or at least, she is played by her actress.[/sp]
[sp]Cooper's Breaking Bad "fugue state" scenes are hilarious and just the type of Twin Peaks I've been expecting, I was afraid it would be too grim and serious from the first two episodes.[/sp]
HellOOOOOOoooo
