I'm kinda bummed that there aren't more musical cues in the new series considering how often they came up in the TV series, but the few times they've come up so far they make it seem so much more special, like [sp]when Bobby sees the picture of Laura and Laura's Theme from the original comes up, I don't know why but I love it so much![/sp]
I'm expecting a fan re-edit which re-adds music to the scenes in the [sp]normal world[/sp].
So is Ep 5 on tonight or next weekend? IMDB episode dates changed up but can't find any concrete info anywhere.

Ep 3 and 4 air tonight. Ep 5 airs next week.
Why'd they choose to do it this way anyway? Not necessarily complaining, because we got to watch 4 hours consecutively, but why not just air an episode a week like everything else

Because they have 18 episodes and doing it like this means they have to spend 2 weeks less airing this show, so they can start airing another show on time with their usual schedule in Fall.
as someone currently watching, now that I've gotten up [sp]the killer reveal[/sp] I honestly don't have much more interest in continuing forward, especially because Lynch isn't even director of the latter half of this season. I know people are gonna tell me to keep going, but if I wanted to stick to essentials for continuing into season 3, what episodes would you say are most important? I really don't want to keep up with the melodrama which I am assuming encompasses most of the show onward

Skip anything with the eyepatch woman and the boy in the leather jacket. Everything else I found to be relevant/interesting/fun. It has been a while since I have watched, but I remember doing that and having a fun time with the second season.
Edit: I see a lot of disagrees, just want to say I do not mean skip the entire episode, only the specific part. I do not remember much of Nadine's parts, but I know the scenes with James out of town are completely irrelevant and are not good. Every episode needs to be watched in some capacity if you are interested in season 3.
windom earle owns imo

I've seen people recommend just skipping to the finale (Which is directed by Lynch and is fantastic) but I'd highly recommend not doing so; everything related to Coop and Windom Earle is good and there's some great bits about the Lodge in there too but it's unfortunately sandwiched between some pretty bad episodes. The good news is you can skip past everything that doesn't have to do with these plots (Especially the Civil War, James Goes Out Of Town and the super cringe Nadine subplot) as just about all of it is irrelevant/trash.
This is a great guide for when things start to go off the rails and then gets watchable again.

I think for your first watch you should definitely watch it all. There are little bits scattered through the bad stuff that I'd class as relevant.
Like (spoilers obviously, but mainly for others to either agree or disagree)
[sp] Major Briggs's disappearance/reappearance, learning briefly about the White Lodge and Project Bluebook, Denise Bryson, Josie's Death, people being obsessed with Lana (maybe), Windom Earle, Annie (just to build on the last episode which is a must-watch)[/sp]

tbh you havent seen twin peaks, if you havent sat through the most painful parts of it.

James' subplot is the most tedious shit to rewatch and also goes totally nowhere.
there's a lot of season 2 subplots that are really melodramatic or goofy and just go on and on. james and evelyn, lana milford, little nicky, nadine, dick tremayne, etc
I like civil war ben tho

Best long-term character breakdown in a tv show, right there.
Also, despite really going into filler territory, I don't mind the "pointless" episodes, as they sort of exist to show that Twin Peaks is an actual town of people with their own lives, and not just an eldritch mysteries and conspiracies.
I just found this and can't believe I haven't seen them earlier

When's Ken gonna show up in season 3?

Seems like a regular clip of Twin Peaks to me.
The sound of them cracking one open is for some reason super satisfying
I do like how there's a little story arc to it

How much fucking Georgia Coffee did Cooper and Ken drink in that time period holy fuck they must be pissing pure caffeine at the end of the day

I just started watching the first season, and it seems kinda boring. I mean I wasn't expecting anything exciting, but the pacing seems so slow.

I tried watching Twin Peaks with my dad and this was the scene where he pretty much said "Fuck it, I'm out."
