A lot of plot elements and likely a lot of dead ends have been set up, soon enough they're going to start ramping up. After Samurai Jack I'm really wary of shows trying to come back with a short timespan, but Twin Peaks has 18 episodes and they're all an hour long each. We've still got 13 hours of Twin Peaks left to explore.
