And when the expectations were wild boos and a riot, everyone just accepted the fact that the Undertaker is too old and Roman is going over no matter what.
What a depressing ending!
I liked a lot of things in this Mania, but fuck me those last 4 matches took my joy and destroyed it.
[editline]3rd April 2017[/editline]
ok, maybe Goldberg vs. Lesnar was better than expected, but fuck man.
It was decent, but yeah that match was just straight up depressing. I really wish he just retired after WM 30, or at least passed the torch to Wyatt at 31.
Ummm. guys? https://twitter.com/ChocoMochi/status/848749022131220480
ULTIMATE THRILL RIDE, MAGGLE. I LOVE IT!
nice to see bray putting over that young up and comer randy orton
Aj/Shane'o match was great, Raw Women's match was decent, Andre was meh (as it usually is), [sp]The Hardy's Returning was fucking excellent[/sp], Rollins/Triple H was slow to start but built up to be awesome, Goldberg/Lesnar was quicker than anyone would've thought it'd be (which is good). Jericho/Owens was alright, Smackdown's Womens was too short.
But jesus christ that last fucking match, [sp]imagine that being your last match in a company you've worked 27 years with, it was fucking miserable and it wasn't even on Roman Reigns part. I get they were trying to do a Logan-style putting down old yeller thing, but it just wasn't fucking good to watch, they did handle the post match segment very well though, I just wish it could've been after a great match.[/sp]
Still a shit-ton better than last years.
After last Raw, I'm pretty sure Roman Reigns will be forever hated
In 10 years he'll be liked just like Cena is right now.
Lesnar should've retired him when he broke the streak.
:joy:

A shame they didn't show when Lee England shows up, the pop was HUGE
Nakamura is easily my current favorite. He's just such a good showman.
im sure im not the only one who thinks it all makes perfect sense? like they built this guy up yo win every fucking match, to retire one of the biggest draws in wrestling history. who else was gonna do it? im not glorifying reigns but id rather him win than anyone else tbh
you can feel free to suggest who would be better off beating taker but people are likely to name candidates that honestly make far less sense than anyone else would think. bray wyatt retiring undertaker? no thanks
the storytelling in the match was fucking phenomenal, i think it was a fucking epic match no matter how much you hate roman, i think they totally played their cards right with it
not to mention the more heat roman gets the more attention, draw and crowd interaction with reigns regardless. all the hate roman gets is literally money printing for wwe. plus now it makes zero fucking sense to turn roman heel when he already literally is. post wm crowd or not, i think the concise 'promo' reigns did on raw spoke for itself; actions speak louder than words. and on the brightside, wwe are also gonna make a shitton of money on the next big babyface that actually beats him. reigns has been a good thing for a while now, its been a very long time since hes legitimately been booked like the worst thing ever (his rumble win years back, etc)
You're being pretty ignorant towards a lot of things here.
- More money ≠ Fan/Viewer interest.
-
like they built this guy up yo win every fucking match, to retire one of the biggest draws in wrestling history. who else was gonna do it?
Cena, like Taker had previously requested, but was shot down because Taker wasn't long term (I guess Shawn Michaels for Flair was though, right?)
- Why not Bray Wyatt? Why not Finn Balor? Why not get a guy over who does need the win, who could actually do well with a crucial torch passing? It would've gone down a hell of a lot better, there's no denying that. Roman has had so many this point it's crazy.
- The WM match itself was not good by a wrestling/technical standpoint at all (it was never going to be with old-age Taker) The only story telling the match actually had was within the last 5 rushed minutes where it started to look like Taker was being put out of his misery.
Looks like Mauro is leaving the WWE if his twitter profile is anything to go by. All his mentions of the company are gone. So, they lost one of their best comentators they had in years. Fuck JBL.
Dunno how many of you is into NJPW but Shibata fucking NO-SOLD RAINMAKER
[editline]9th April 2017[/editline]
he's also super over with the fans, they even boo'd Okada
I thought Shibata outshined Okada tbh
Also Fale needs to fuck off he sucks
apparently it's filler until omega returns for his UK tour also an excuse to break the 2-2 tie they have, it's pretty obvious Okada is gonna win
[editline]9th April 2017[/editline]
Shibata outshined Okada
100% true
Glad Alexa Bliss got a big pop from a dead crowd
also, "I'M NOT FINISHED WITH YOU" I love BRAAAAAAAUUUUUNNN
[editline]11th April 2017[/editline]
shoutouts to double posting and to the crowd chanting "Die Roman Die" and "You Deserve it" while being he's being murdered

According to Big Dave, this is a work
Jinder Mahal threw Finn Balor a stiff elbow and gave him a concussion, you can check it on their channel, Finn has a blank stare at the end and friction burn marks on his face he got when he fell, clearly stunned by it
fucking idiot Jinder, he also stiffed Roman Reigns, what's he doing
totally not juiced guys i swear
[thumb]http://www.ringsidenews.com/wp-content/uploads/Jinder-Mahal-new-physique.jpg[/thumb]
you're just jealous that you're not training and as healthy as him, brah!
According to Big Dave, this is a work
unfortunately big dave now says it is not, he actually gave himself brain damage in that match and it's likely that he won't wrestle again
