Just a reminder, the new Fire Pro game hits early access tonight on Steam. From what I'm seeing its got most of the main features from Fire Pro Returns in with the rest coming in patches. They also improved the edit mode and updated a ton of parts (and hinted that asymmetrical parts might be on the agenda in the future), the best news though is workshop support so no more tedious edit copying from slot to slot.
Kind of disappointed with Lesnar vs Joe, especially considering how good it started. Felt like it should have gone on a bit longer.
Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns feud is one of the best ever, kinda bad how the Rollins/Ambrose and Bray Wyatt never end up interacting with them somehow about it
It'll be even more disappointing if they never do a rematch.
alberto del rio has been suspended from tna/gfw because of his arrest
alberto del rio has been suspended from tna/gfw because of his arrest
what the fuck happened to him? he looked great in LU and in Mexico and then he lost the plot.
what the fuck happened to him? he looked great in LU and in Mexico and then he lost the plot.
It's a pretty long story with several different versions so I'll just post some sources here, in short though the whole thing is pretty fucked up. Man the Kurt Angle 24 is really really good. I welled up a couple times.
I love the new Fire Pro game. [thumb]https://i.imgur.com/GUnTybr.jpg[/thumb]
Is there an MMA facepunch thread? I know this doesn't belong here, but I'm struggling to find the appropriate thread and this was the closest thing I could find. I figure there has to be one but I haven't been able to find it. Are there just not enough MMA fans that frequent facepunch for there to be an active thread? Sorry to be so off-topic.
WWE cancelled Talkin' Smack without even telling Renee Young lmao
WWE cancelled Talkin' Smack without even telling Renee Young lmao
DBry didn't know either :v:
Acording to Sports Illustrated, Vince canceled it and it wasnt because of ratings. https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2017/07/15/wwe-talking-smack-canceled-vince-mcmahon
So Vince got mad that talent was getting over without his shitty scripts and cut the show. okay
so Jason Jordan is Kurt Angle's son now As per usual WWE fashion, when American Alpha won the SD tag championship just 8 months ago, they forgot they have his real dad on camera hugging him
Adopted dad
oh wait maybe it actually makes sense since afaik they had that storyline where kurt tries to bang booker t's wife

In carny news, AAA has given their women's title back to Sexy Star after she left to try boxing, stripping the title off of Taya and giving at least four different excuses as to why. An illegal submission in a no DQ street fight, over to Taya not wanting to drop the title/take the booking. At no point was Taya informed of any of this. Johnny Mundo is NOT HAPPY, which is bad because he has ALL THREE of their major singles titles right now and is calling out Vampiro on twitter. He brought Taya's women's title over for a "photo shoot," they kept the belt and lied to him about why. They both might be on the way out now.
AAA seems like such a shit company. You always hear about the carny shit WWE pulls, but I've heard nothing good about AAA recently.
LU season 4 is gonna struggle. Richochet moved on, Penta's issues with AAA, and now Mundo and Taya have massive heat with Vampiro.
The first half of today's New Japan show is free right now on YouTube, so it's just the tags involving tomorrows opponents but still worth checking out.
I haven't regularly watched wrestling since a bit after Chris Benoit's triple threat which probably would have been followed up by a very long cage match. Are there any smaller companies worth watching, and is there anything I should get up to speed with before watching, say, WWE? I remember my buddies complaining about a quality dip for a while.

I remember my buddies complaining about a quality dip for a while.
The quality dip is still here, at least in WWE anyway. It's rare for there to be a bad match because of the quality of the wrestlers now, but it isn't really worth keeping up with smackdown and raw actively in my opinion. I usually check out a post show breakdown and see if anything interesting happened or skip through it. Then again, you stopped watching 13 years ago so there's a lot of shit to catch up on. The advantage of WWE being so bad at storytelling recently is that you can actually just start watching and have missed nothing of interest. You can probably pick any PPV from the past two years and find something to like in there. They're also currently attempting ANOTHER coronation of three time world champion Roman Reigns, so the entire main event scene is on hold until Vince can get his rocks off. Why they're trying to coronate a three time world champion is beyond me. Raw is entirely focused on this right now. Smackdown currently has Jinder "drizzling shits" Mahal as WWE champ doing a garbage anti-american gimmick. However they did recently have AJ Styles as champ, check out his run from his introduction at the Royal Rumble up until he lost the title to John Cena at the next rumble. Really good matches everywhere. NXT has been putting on really good PPVs too. NJPW is probably the most hyped promotion right now because they always deliver good matches. They're currently doing their equivalent to the royal rumble, the G1 tournament. There's always a lot of crazy fucking matches and there's still weeks to go yet. New Japan doesn't bother with most of the contrivances that WWE does so it's very, very easy to jump in and start watching. The main storyline going on right now is between IWGP US Champ Omega and IWGP Heavyweight Champ Okada. Okada beat Omega at wrestle kingdom, their second match went to a time limit draw, and now Omega needs to win in the G1 to have his rematch. Or Okada could win the G1 and select his opponent instead, and they've been hinting that Okada wants a re-match for a while, (assuming their 30 minute tournament match-up goes to a draw, which considering the 60 minute draw that set this up, is likely.) You should watch the matches between these two. One from Wrestle Kingdom 11 and the second match from Dominion 6.11, be warned that they're very long. (They're also really easy to find, they generated such a buzz that you can just google omega vs okada and find both of them.) The British scene has exploded, with places like ICW and Progress creating some of the world's best wrestlers. Both have an on demand service you can check out. Progress is more traditional while ICW is full on attitude era nostalgia with profanity, blood and all. The American indie scene has calmed down a lot since a couple of years ago. A lot of former ROH people are in NXT now. TNA still exists and is now called GFW after an elaborate takeover scheme by professional gold seller Jeff Jarrett. There's also lucha underground but the future of that is in doubt, there's still multiple seasons to check out, I believe they're on netflix? TL;DR WWE is still bad with the occasional bright spot, American indies are on a bit of a downturn, Mexico is still carny AF and nobody wants to work there, British promotions are doing really well and producing good stuff, and Japan is destroying everybody's cock with amazing matches. Check out NJPW, Progress, and some of the recent WWE PPVs.
So...is Vince trying to sabotage Smackdown? Battleground felt like that was the case. This is probably gonna get me a lot of dumbs, but I genuinely hope Vince kicks the bucket soon. Actively ruining his company because his fragile ego was hurt is something we have seen one time too many with the WWE. Stephanie isn't perfect, but she's far better than Vince, especially since Hunter's there to support her.
