I'll put my trust in Shankar and Ellis.
As long as it ends up at least as entertaining as Travoltron has been, it'll be good enough.
First image of Alphonse Elric from the Live-action Fullmetal Alchemist movie.

The CGI looks very odd to me, almost like it was ripped straight out of a Final Fantasy opening sequence and placed into the real world. Hopefully it looks decent when put into motion.
Lightmatching is all kinds of off.

It's Japanese CGI.
It's always fucking garbage for some reason

Director of The Lego Batman Movie is picked to help lead the Nightwing live action movie

This feels like a very strange choice, considering Chris McKay has only directed comedic animated films and TV shows and not live-action action films. Though of course it's too early to judge what the man can direct since he's only had one film he has directed, so who knows if he can actually make a really good superhero action flick.
Not really.
The current incarnation of Nightwing is basically a sarcastic showoff who's only slightly more serious than Damien Wayne, so it kinda fits.

Oh I didn't really know anything about the new reincarnation, hopefully he can pull it off well then.

I always wonder how they fuck up every single use of CGI in everything they do.

Every Japanese adaptation I've seen goes for accuracy instead of quality. But i guess that's what you get when most Japanese movie looks like it has the budget of $12 for some reason

Shin Godzilla had some pretty nasty instants of Mid 2000s-grade CG too, and I adore that film.
(But the Tank/Helicopter CG was fucking eye candy)
I was impressed by Shin Godzilla's effects. I expected bad and got pretty good.
Watched the trailer for the Ghost in the Shell live-action movie today.
Seems to me that Paramount took Ghost in the Shell and turned it into Robocop 4. :goodjob:
Also the prologue for Alien: Covenant, nothing spoilery

Say what you will about Ridley's past couple movies, but they always have entertaining pre-release material.
[sp]And James Franco is the captain of the ship. They're doomed[/sp]
20 bucks on Franco and McBride accidentally releasing the alien when stoned.
:snip:
Not really new
New thing from Netflix with Will Smith.

Did Will Smith write it too?
Getting Shadowrun vibes from this.

Max Landis, surprisingly.

yea and hide I will since I'm not watching anymore trailers for this. I am already content this will be at least worth watching so no point spoiling anymore shit.
nice followup to the 'RUN' poster from before tho.

Honestly, if you want to avoid spoilery material, stop watching at 1:20. Up to that point it's safe.
And also close your eyes and don't look at the big fuckoff thumbnail.
