I'm really sorry to having jumped at the wrong conclusions guys, but I'm honest when I say that this recent trend of insulting anything from that lines of movies as a matter of principle has gotten rather old fast.
... And I'm not exactly these movies' greatest stalwart to begin with

I watch the movies and enjoy them but there's no need to say things like that to be fair, just makes you sound arrogant

Blame DC for making such consistently shit movies lately.
If you keep producing junk, people will expect junk.

Funnily enough people widely deride DC's movies because they're bad, not due to mob mentality. And it seems that nothing has changed with this one.
DC should go back and look at the old batman and superman movies, because they still hold up.

And in a totally unsurprising move, Terminator: Genysieyeosis's sequel has been axed.
Good riddance
Awesome I didn't want to wait till August to watch Baby Driver!
Apparently GITS isn't getting advanced screenings for critics.
If so, the reddest light of all just lit the fuck up.

Nice, that spoiled pretty much the whole movie.
New Tomb Raider images with Alicia Vikander. It's definitely going for the reboot look

Not surprising, given Soderbergh wasn't going to come back for a third season and everything that had happened in the finale.

Hopefully this doesn't degenerate to a film about meme culture.
Could be good potential to utilize flash games.

In a way I'm kind of glad; it ended really well. Better this than dragging it out longer than necessary.

At Sony's CinemaCon Panel (as reported by The Hollywood Reporter), Dwayne Johnson brought some footage to show fans of the new film.
In the upcoming reboot, high school students stumble upon an old video game console which plays a game entitled Jumanji. After picking characters, the teens then change into their various avatars when they are teleported to the jungle.
Once in their new bodies the juxtaposition of the preppy school girl in the body of Jack Black, and geeky kid suddenly a muscle-bound Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson leaves the teenagers having to come to terms with their new forms.
This detail explains the first official image that was released on Dwayne Johnson's Instagram, revealing the main characters and how they fit in with this teenage adventure.
Johnson also spoke of meeting the late Robin Williams who starred in the original 1995 adventure, stating that the new film would be a homage to the first Jumanji. This reflects his earlier remarks, insisting that this film will honour Robin Williams.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle will be released on December 22 in the US, December 26 in Australia, and December 29 in the UK.
As before, it'll probably go nowhere, but Ghost in the Shell managed to get an adaptation so it's really only a matter of time now

Fuck it, let's go full Shadow the Hedgehog edgy and make a Red Hood standalone.

Except a standalone GitS film was possible. The Akira manga is over 2000 pages and would probably make a better trilogy than standalone film. Hollywood wouldn't have enough faith in it to make it a trilogy.

But they did make a standalone film? Also, funny you mention that, since in the article supposedly the idea has been thrown around to make it in two parts, consisting of Vol. 1-3 and Vol. 4-6
