X-files is getting yet another new season, this time 10 episodes http://www.comingsoon.net/tv/news/840117-x-files-returns#/slide/1 here's hoping this one goes better than the last. and they don't try another dumb cliff-hanger. (yea fucking right)
Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we finally get a look at Autobot Hot Rod! And...His head still bothers me. Who okay'ed that? It's like the head of a Tusken Raider. [t]http://news.tfw2005.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/10/2017/04/tlk-hot-rod-01.jpg[/t] That's SIR Anthony Hopkins to you EW.
Rumor is that Hot Rod has a thick french accent or something similar... why?
Rumor is that Hot Rod has a thick french accent or something similar... why?
To insert another shitty and unfunny stereotype dumb masses can laugh at. Also, because Bayformers exist for two purposes, to make mad money and to fuck with actual fans of the property. Read IDW comics or watch one of better TF cartoons instead. Those movies aren't even worth getting mad about anymore.
Nothing huge, just some side thing: Jurassic World 2 is still being filmed and James Cromwell had joined the cast a while back. While working on it he spoke a bit about Bayona and animatronics in a little interview. He talked how great it is to see these things that were made by the practical effects people and how they have football sized sets with recreations of the dinosaurs. Here's the really interesting part:
He mentions that despite the large budget, director JA Bayona still had to fight for certain creative freedoms while making the movie. Being a fan of Bayona’s prior work, I know he has a good eye and mind, so I do hope we won the arguments! “Money is no object. You take your time and do whatever you need to do. The director, bless his heart, was trying to fight off all of the executives. I probably shouldn’t say that.”
I think JW2 is in good hands. Bayona seems to really care about it. avatar sequels are now all dated http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/840769-all-four-avatar-sequel-release-dates-confirmed
Great to be working with the best team in the business! Avatar takes flight as we begin concurrent production on four sequels. The journey continues December 18, 2020, December 17, 2021, December 20, 2024 and December 19, 2025!
so that basically confirms that the first avatar sequel comes out over a decade after the original 2009 film. fucking hell. also what's with the three year gap between part 2 and 3? maybe he's just planning to announce another 2 avatar sequels that release then.
concurrent production on four sequels
this kills the 20th Century Fox
this kills the 20th Century Fox
I'm not sure if that's a good thing these days, they are way better without Rothman
But it'll be ~revolutionary~. Remember how ~revolutionary~ 3D was.
Honestly give the quality of the movie and how it aged shit, but it really did start a thing with interest in 3D and was the first 3D movie that actually looked nice. Seeing it in the theater when it came out was a pretty good experience.

You'll probably see some impressive shit, but people are gonna see Star Wars.

You shouldn't even think about competing with goddamn Star Wars
who knows for the others since it's so far out that even Lucasfilm hasn't planned that far, but at least in the case of Avatar 2's 2020 release, Lucasfilms are trying for a summer star wars release that year http://www.denofgeek.com/uk/movies/star-wars/48785/star-wars-summer-announcement-for-next-spin-off-hinted honestly I wouldn't be surprised if Lucasfilms just shift over to summer releases on those Avatar years. they're doing summer releases for episode 9 and the han solo film for sure already, and going head-to-head would just be bad for both movies anyways (tho mostly avatar lol). i mean yea I doubt avatar's sequels will do anything remotely close to the business the first did, but they're still sequels to the most successful theatrical release ever and Avatar's already laid claim to those dates, so Lucasfilms will probably want to avoid them.

Pedro Pascal's in it too. Cool

So, is the cowboy stereotype the American equivalent of the Kingsmen? :v:
How could it be anything else?

Now that's a cast.
They were running a competition a while ago to voice one of the dogs. I didn't win :(
In sadder news, Billy Eichner and Seth Rogen are in the running to play Timon and Pumba in The Lion King, respectively. I would have preferred Nathan Lane, but Eichner's not bad.
I don't know who Billy Eichner is, to be honest, but I really can't get past my nostalgia to see Seth Rogen as Pumba. I mean, kind of, but not really.
