It looks a little too much like a fan film, and they've embraced a little too much of JJ Abrams's style
The emoji movie is honestly the first time in my life I've looked at something and not understood the appeal. These gosh darn kids and their emojoes
Back in my day, the emo joes had black hair swept over one eye and cried in the bathroom during class. And we liked it.
Back in my day, the emo joes had black hair swept over one eye and cried in the bathroom during class. And we liked it.
You like to watch emos cry in the bathroom? Hopefully this is the final trailer to The Last Knight. I'm getting some Iron Man 1 vibes from the banter. With the same writing team, I hope they can find a way to make this movie at least enjoyable. I'm digging Megatron's new look everytime he appears. So simple, yet so barbaric. Plus the trailer hints he'll get multiple fight scenes. Please hope he's played by Welker. [T]http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attachments/img_3182-png.27727516/[/T]
Megatron is back again? Why?
He only died 4 times. Standard stuff.
David Ayer might direct the Scarface remake In case you didn't know, they're remaking Scarface, but instead of being about Italian or Cuban gangsters, it's about Mexican gangsters and it's set in LA. Diego Luna has signed on for the lead role. And The Coen Brothers wrote the latest draft of the script so who knows how this will turn out?
How much you wanna bet people will cry about how it doesn't need to be remade (despite the 1983 one already being a remake)? [editline]19th May 2017[/editline] Part of what makes it so great IMO is how eternally relevant the plot is. Themes of rise and fall; rags to riches; hero (well, kinda) to villain aren't getting old any time soon. It's simple, but quaint
Megatron is back again? Why?

He only died 4 times. Standard stuff.
2 times to be exact. He ran like a bitch in the second one, died at the end of TF3, and revived as [sp]Galvatron[/sp] in TF4. He's still here because producers don't care that the franchise has a treasure trove of villains and more recent Decpeticon leaders to keep the roster fresh. They only matter because the general audience members will go "Why not keep Megatron? he's a machine so can't they just keep reviving him or at least not kill him?" He's a pretty big house-hold name along with Optimus Prime and Bumblebee. At least that's what I take from this.
Sony, keen on ruining their Uncharted film franchise before it can even get it's feet off the ground has decided it will be a prequel story focusing on young Nathan Drake meeting Sully and has cast Tom Holland in the lead role. Tom Holland is a good actor, but seriously, fuck that noise.

How else can we capitalize on his namesake to sell other properties we have lined up? An Uncharted Prequel? Perfect!" Admittedly, I've never played Uncharted, but I have no faith in Sony to make a faithful and respectful adaptation without some behind the scenes shenanigans from their execs.

He's more of a supporting villain in he film series.
Zack Snyder has stepped down from finishing the Justice League due to daughter's suicide. Joss Whedon has stepped in to do reshoots and oversee post-production [editline]22nd May 2017[/editline]
Sony: "So, we have Tom [Holland] nabbed for Spider-Man, and he's already proven to be a hit. If the emoji-movie tanks, this might go down with it. What I really don't understand though is why start with Young Nathan? It serves only one purpose in the game and it's barely interesting enough to justify it's inclusion. In fact, I think the only reason it's even there is because the third Indiana Jones movie had Young Indy, so why not copy that? And an adaptation of the first game would probably be easier to do on a budget anyway. It's one setting, no gigantic setpieces, and it has a pretty small cast of characters.
Reviews are coming in now for the new Pirates of the Caribbean movie, and so far they're pretty bad https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/pirates_of_the_caribbean_dead_men_tell_no_tales oh...

As long as it's better and at least more memorable then that god awful 4th film they put out i will be a happy camper.
It can't be worse than Stranger Tides.

[t]http://i.imgur.com/YP977L9.png[/t] Can't say this weekend is shaping up well though.

Holy shit
Tom Cruise says Top Gun 2 is happening and Joseph Kosinski is the frontrunner for the director's chair. They previously worked together on Oblivion, which also had an emphasis on flying, motorcycles and thinly veiled homoeroticism so it seems like a perfect fit
It can't be worse than Stranger Tides.
Better than Stranger Tides is my incentive to see this. From what people told me of Pirates 4 I avoided it like the plague. Dumbass me also saw TF4 with a bunch of friends in fucking IMAX thinking "New cast means it can be good." Seeing reviews going "If you liked Pirates 1, you'll like this one" is enough for me. Now we wait to see how Wonder Woman and TF5 turn out to be. Why give a recognizeable character 2nd bananas to villians that only the most die-hard fans will know? Not to mention that outside the first one Megatron and Optimus never had a real fight. From the looks of the trailers it seems that Megatron will finally have his moments. Best part being in a interview with Empire that Frank Welker will return to play him. I came so far with all this coverage might as well go see it at least once in theaters. If it sucks a golfball through a garden hose I'll swear off the next two films coming and whatever "14 stories" the Writer's Room cooked up. Speaking of which, the recent Empire magazine (no online article sadly) did an interview with the TF producers and writers on the plan for the movie franchise. Things that were noted from the interview with the writing room team:
-Michael Bay met with the writers of TFCU during the principal photography of 13 Hours: Secret Soldiers Of Benghazi. -Ken Nolan, Art Marcum and Matt Holloway wrote the story for Transformers: The Last Knight. -Every iteration, every era was considered for the Cinematic Universe. -The story of TLK is a combination of Nolan’s pitch on a story based on Transformers and King Arthur and Marcum/Holloway’s story based on World War II.•However, the article states that three stories were consolidated into the movie. -The Bumblebee Movie story is set in 1980s. -The Bumblebee Movie will have less robots and the main focus is [obviously] Bumblebee. -The tone of•The Bumblebee Movie is pitched for the younger audience it seems. -An Animated prequel is in the works. The story takes place in Cybertron regarding the origin myth of the Transformers millions of years ago. Ant-Man writers are working on the project. -Transformers movie set is ancient Rome is also in the works.
Scans from the article. Opening them in a new tab makes the text easier to read.

Looks like it could be an adaptation or at least inspired by Castlevania 3? Possibly?
It's in the three/Sotn era.
