Hey now, some of us like Transformers. They're like action musicals with a saturday morning cartoon twist. I for one have been more entertained in the cinema by the Transformers franchise alone than any of the Marvel movies or other blockbusters. I for one thank maddogsamurai for keeping me up to date with news.
I will say this; The first one I thought was great, if not a bit rough. Bay, Paramount, and Hasbro(Yeah they're just as involved) had the chances to make the sequels good if not better than the first, but then they squandered it by making awful choices and never changing a thing three more times because they kept making money despite plummeting ratings. Their little writing room is the quote/unquote "damage-control" for their future films and TF5 is their first child from the congregation. If it results turn out to be good, then this provides a positive outlook for new ideas and films for the Movie franchise, and I'll will be excited and satisfied. If not, may god help us all.
I'd like the think that Baywatch is becoming a wake-up call that they can't repeat the same explosions, hot model actresses, dick jokes slow-mo, and worn out cliches in their action and action/comedy movies.
Come to the movie sub-forum on the fansite for a good giggle and take a load off. They actually fell for a parody script by Funny or Die.

Transformers 1 is the same brand of garbage as every other one in the series. Bumblebee pees on John Turturro, there's a shot dedicated to Megan Fox bending over, and the Transformers are all one-dimensional Mary Sues with literally no personality. It's lowest common denonominator trash meant to appeal to 13 year olds, plain and simple
At least we get cool music by Jablonsky.

Agree. After TF4 I figured that they didn't try to do anything new, and the whole thing became formulaic with dumb decisions. Who thought it'd be a good idea to make a movie with giant fighting robots where the [I]humans[/I] were the villains. Anyone could have just squash them and the film would be over faster. Even the main villain who turns out to be a non-affiliated Transformer gets killed by Marky Mark and his funky daughter because Optimus is pinned by his own weapon. WTH? I think Wahlberg needs to be taken down a notch; give him an alien gun and suddenly Decepticons drop like flies.
I'm staying out of the fansites as of now because according to some posters someone had gone and seen the premiere and is spoiling the film. I don't care if it's gonna be good or bad, spoilers matter and should either be blacked out or banned like they did with the people who created accounts to spoil The Force Awakens. There was one last trailer that had no footage except the one second clip where Megatron [I]finally[/I] speaks, and he sounds like his Transformers: Prime counterpart aka that's a good thing.

New x-men film coming November 2, 2018, again with the cast from Apocalypse, will be subtitled Dark Phoenix and centers around Jean Grey and some evil alien called Empress Lilandra who will be played by Jessica Chastain.
It'll be directed by Simon Kinberg, who produced and wrote the previous xmen films but has never actually directed anything ever. So yeah my optimism for this is pretty low lol.

I just think Sophie Turner is woeful, so having it center around her is a big no-no for me.

Dark Phoenix Saga is by far the most classic and quintessential X-Men story.
Pity the movie will probably suck donkey balls then.

Jessica Chastain as Lilandra is weird as hell to me, but I'm willing to bet the Shi'ar won't look much like their comic counterparts either. Just the fact that Fox has reached a point where the Shi'ar might actually make it into a movie is something I didn't think we'd ever see though.

Yes!! It's about damn time! I still have the vhs tape. I hate to sound like a broken record, but this was one of my movies as a kid. I remember watching this and Iron Giant at my grandpa's house and I was so engrossed.
