just in case you thought the Transformers Cinematic Universe™ wasn't still happening http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/john-cena-joins-transformers-spinoff-bumblebee-1025411 l o l. also what the fuck is Travis Knight doing directing this god damn
Sounds incredible. I have always wanted to see Bumblebee from Transformers in a coming-of-age epic starring John Cena. Who said dreams don't come true.
That story sounds like herbie reloaded from what I recall of that movie
Wait they're gonna let BB actually be a VW Bug? And its got John Cena who is pretty funny and charismatic in comedy supporting roles? And its directed by a damn good children/family film director who respects practical effects and was the lead animator at Laika? If they soft rebooted the TF universe with Bumblebee this would be a strong start. Up until i see a trailer I actually really want to see this, who's writing? More news from the hellboy reboot and they have found hellboys father, and i gotta say the casting choice is one hell of a pick. http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/american-gods-star-ian-mcshane-joins-david-harbour-hellboy-reboot-1025853
Ian McShane, currently starring on Starz’s American Gods, is joining David Harbour in Lionsgate and Millennium’s Hellboy reboot. Harbour is toplining as the demonic hero from the Mike Mignola comic books in a new feature, titled Hellboy: Rise of the Blood Queen, that Neil Marshall, the horror director who broke out with The Descent and won raves for his work on Game of Thrones, is on board to direct. The new story sees the hero squaring off against a medieval sorceress who seeks to destroy humankind. McShane will play Hellboy’s adoptive father, Professor Broom.
I'm inclined to believe small budgets are a good thing. They reduce executive meddling and force directors to use every buck carefully instead of throwing it away on a big name actor and shitty special effects.
That's correct. But the amount of studio meddling and chaotic production are alarming signs that we might have bad case here. I hope I'm wrong because I like the books but this could turn out really bad.

The story is apparently a mix of three books and not in chronological order. The first book was rather short too. It might work but they are definitely not adapting the entire series in this movie.
Plus [sp]it technically takes place after the book series[/sp] which gives them a little more freedom in terms of adaptation.
Plus [sp]it technically takes place after the book series[/sp] which gives them a little more freedom in terms of adaptation.
I see that as just a convenient excuse to mostly ignore the books in favor of creating "their story" with The Dark Tower slapped on it. This is Sony, after all, I doubt they care about the source.

John Cena is apparently playing a military dude so we KNOW the military's gonna get involved and find Bumblebee EVEN THOUGH IT WASN'T UNTIL TF1 WHERE INFORMATION ON THE TRANSFORMERS WAS SHOWN TO THE PUBLIC IN 2007! God these movies fuck over their continuity with each passing film it's astonishing. You can see what I stopped putting this shite here. You'd think putting a good director in there will fix the damage that was done? Reminder the director did Monkeybone before he came around and did Coraline.
Here's a tv spot for IT with a brand new clip. :disgust: Here's another spot with a pennywise actually talking, but from i've read so far his going to be doing a different voices through out the film and they wanted to make IT very unpredictable. really excited that this has a 2 hour 15 minute run time as well. Looks like it'll be really good
Is it out worldwide? They have started showing it over here today, I might go and check it out
idk why but big movies rarely (if ever?) have totally worldwide premieres. it's out in a lot of places today like here in the States but other places will have to wait a few weeks http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1648190/releaseinfo?ref_=tt_ov_inf
Wonder if this one will get whored out for sequels like the original.
bruce willis as: the punisher. It looks alright
It will never be Death Wish 3, but I like the Chicago setting and how he's now a doctor. Everything else looks so uninspired tho

Using "Back in Black" and making it seem like some silly "Oh woah old white guy kills young thugs! Isn't that SUPER UNIQUE!?". I remember when it was just Bronson violently gunning people down with little to no mercy and not making a fun time out of it other than the whole "You believe in Jesus?...you're gonna meet him" thing.

I couldn't help but wonder if eli roth was trying to make a death wish film or a die hard film. :v:
My thoughts exactly, the trailer started out ok until it hit the acdc part, then by end of it. I couldn't help but wonder if eli roth was trying to make a death wish film or a die hard film. :v:
That's what it feels like. It seems like they wanted to do another Die Hard film but nobody wanted to after the last couple were so fucking shit garbage (the latest barely even being in theaters) and also wanted to cash in on an older title of what is now a relatively obscure series. They clearly got Willis because he's a famous action star, and they're only loosely, loosely basing it on the original story of Death Wish. The other reason why it's probably going to suck is that the idea of Death Wish doesn't make a whole lot of sense in a modern context. In the original movie, like it was in real life at the time, New York City was a shithole cesspit of crime and misery. The idea that a relatively old man would seek revenge on the people who hurt his family by just up-and-up blowing their heads off with a fucking Automag was a shocking concept. The thought that one man could do the job of judge, jury and executioner in a modern city was almost as unnerving as the acts of the criminas themselves, and the first movie made it a pretty large grey zone morally. Instead, this time, they're just going for over the top action and one liners, trying to cash in on the new standard set by John Wick. Not to mention that the movie seems far too, I don't know, 'light hearted'? Like the trailer puts it out as "WOAH HEY HOWDY ISn'T JoKEs FUNNER THAN VIOLENT RAPE???". I see little to no motivation in this version of the Kersey character.

There's some. If you look closely, he's a doctor who probably sees people suffering from gun violence on a regular basis, and add to that his family has become victims, that would send him over the edge. [editline]3rd August 2017[/editline]
"From Director Eli Roth." No thank you.
Yeah that's easily the biggest detractor from this. It could be Alan Smithee and I would see it over an Eli Roth production
Hmm do I want to watch a bored Bruce Willis phone in another performance because he doesn't give a shit? Nah Somehow I don't think a film about a old white guy shooting up minorities with glee is going to go down well.
"From Director Eli Roth." No thank you.
but The Green Inferno was amazing
but The Green Inferno was amazing
And Cabin Fever, and Hostel Parts I and II were trash. He's mostly miss with his movies. And the remake looks kinda meh at the moment. It won't be complete garbage, but i have no real desire to go see it.
