Warner Bros has greenlit a Joker origin movie. Todd Phillips will write and direct, but that's not the worst part. They got fucking Scorsese to produce.

I hope this season's good. I feel like without Murphy and Escobar the show won't quite have the same draw. Still, at least Peña's there.
Yeah, without Murphy and Escobar it won't be the same. I'd need to view it as a new series to make it work for me. I saw Season 2 as conclusive to the entire story.
Cue up The Black Angels: HBO has officially greenlit True Detectice Season 3. Mahershala Ali to star, David Milch to produce, Nic Pizzolatto to write and direct alongside Jeremy Saulnier. It sounds like it's going back to its roots, taking place over different time periods, following a bizarre murder in the Ozarks. Here's hoping it's not a carbon copy of the first season
direct alongside Jeremy Saulnier
this is so perfect
Early reviews are starting to come in for Guillermo Del Toro's The Shape of Water following its premiere at the Venice Film Festival https://editorial.rottentomatoes.com/article/the-shape-of-water-buzz-critics-declare-its-one-of-guillermo-del-toros-best/ https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_shape_of_water_2017 "9.1/10" that is one seriously good score. I hope this ends up on par with Pan's Labyrinth and Devil's Backbone because I've been waiting for Del Toro to do another film like those.
Dig it: CBS is looking to make a series on LA Confidential, the hit James Ellroy book and even better 1997 film. Jordan Harper will be the showrunner. The more attentive among you will remember this was tried once before in the early 2000s as an HBO show with Kiefer Sutherland, but it took the night train to the big adios. Ellroy and David Fincher shopped around a noir show a few years back, with bupkes to show for it. As someone hep enough to read the original novel, I can see a one season miniseries, but on anything less than Netflix or HBO it's gonna suck. You heard it here first, dear reader: off the record, on the QT and very hush hush.
First image of David Harbour as Hellboy.
Here's our second image as well. [img_thumb]https://pbs.twimg.com/media/DJogCb9UIAA-Y6a.jpg[/img_thumb] I love the look and feel of this hellboy, they nailed it in my opinion. But in the end, it's going to come down to how David approaches the role and hopefully he does something different which i'm going to bet he does. So here's hoping that first teaser/trailer is good.
I'm not sure how I feel about it. Perlman was iconic in the role, so it's hard to shake his image. Maybe he'll look better in action

Hopefully david knocks it out of the park with his version of hellboy, i love the look already just need to see how he is in action.
