Yeah, without Murphy and Escobar it won't be the same. I'd need to view it as a new series to make it work for me. I saw Season 2 as conclusive to the entire story.

Jordan Harper will be the showrunner. The more attentive among you will remember this was tried once before in the early 2000s as an HBO show with Kiefer Sutherland, but it took the night train to the big adios. Ellroy and David Fincher shopped around a noir show a few years back, with bupkes to show for it.
As someone hep enough to read the original novel, I can see a one season miniseries, but on anything less than Netflix or HBO it's gonna suck.

I love the look and feel of this hellboy, they nailed it in my opinion. But in the end, it's going to come down to how David approaches the role and hopefully he does something different which i'm going to bet he does. So here's hoping that first teaser/trailer is good.
I'm not sure how I feel about it. Perlman was iconic in the role, so it's hard to shake his image. Maybe he'll look better in action

People said the same thing about Bill as pennywise when the first image came out, that first trailer is gonna be the be all end all in terms of first impressions. Hopefully david knocks it out of the park with his version of hellboy, i love the look already just need to see how he is in action.
