i know the difference mate valerian is not mediocre. its terrible. so is lucy obviously [editline]4th October 2017[/editline] "only person with more controversial opinions than rusty declares rusty unable to tell quality of things, world dizzy from eyerolling. more at 7" [editline]4th October 2017[/editline] contrarian singles man out for inability to judge. basis it on opinion widely agreed upon
Is valerian okay for an eye candy movie at least?
a source i never use cause I'm rusty
Riveting yarn you spun there, I like the part where you attempt to use consensus argumentation where virtually every other post you make is that consensus argumentation is dumb and stupid next to the unyielding colossus of Ozymandias that is your often completely unresearched and utterly devoid of context personal take on any given subject being the only literally correct opinion once could have, as if any opinion could be absolute to begin with.
eye candy
There is, in fact, too much candy in most of the sequences, hence my earlier statements about chronicles of riddickitis. Since so many companies were used to get the movie done on time, it is also of varying quality even in the same shot, much less in differing sequences.
Big Pacific Rim 2 drop from NYCC soon [t]https://ewedit.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/000266652hr1.jpg?w=4297[/t] [t]https://ewedit.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/000266649hr1.jpg?w=4335[/t] [t]https://ewedit.files.wordpress.com/2017/10/000266650hr1.jpg?w=4297[/t] http://ew.com/movies/2017/10/05/pacific-rim-uprising-john-boyega-first-look/amp/ Jaegars look way better in-film than I thought they would, espacially considering that's 4 of them on screen during the daytime. Everything else lookskinda cheap though, like the new pilot suits
Seriously where are the new Kaiju?
Seriously where are the new Kaiju?
We have 3 confirmed big bois and one of them is basically Raiju from PR on steroids
The Pacific Rim: Uprising trailer played before Blade Runner 2049. It looks ridiculous. [editline]6th October 2017[/editline] Can't find it on YouTube though

The former. It looks like fun, not like a headache
I'm not a big fan of how the new Jaegers look, I prefer the old bulkier style.
The new suits are so horrible
I'm not a big fan of how the new Jaegers look, I prefer the old bulkier style.
I think its trying to show how technology has advanced so they aren't as bulky or slow as they were in PR1. I mean they kind of address that in the original film when the other Jaegars get their shit wrecked immediately because they're too slow.

Looks like it could be good mostly for spectacle, but, man, that hip hop did not mix well with the dramatic music.

Best giant robot design ever.
While I can understand that, I'll miss Cherno Alpha. Best giant robot design ever.
Its a great design but so horribly unsuitable to fighting big fast monsters. Its almost funny how badly it gets its shit wrecked.
Its a great design but so horribly unsuitable to fighting big fast monsters. Its almost funny how badly it gets its shit wrecked.
But it's cool
Phillip K Dick's Electric Dreams

I'm glad [sp]Newt, Hermann, and Mako[/sp] are returning. They pretty much made Pacific Rim outside the fight scenes. I really don't mind the music as the hype for the sequel overshadows it imo. I'm digging the new Jaegers and [sp]Kaiju[/sp]. Everything's overflowing with cheese like a fondue fountain. Also this movie might compete with The Bumblebee movie. damnit!
Phillip K Dick's Electric Dreams
this has been airing in the uk for a few weeks now. i caught the first episode and sadly it was incredibly underwhelming, but i suppose it will do until black mirror drops later this month
this has been airing in the uk for a few weeks now. i caught the first episode and sadly it was incredibly underwhelming, but i suppose it will do until black mirror drops later this month
Dick adaptions tend to vary heavily in quality.

Like I said in the other thread, any excitment I would've had over this pretty much fizzled out after watching season 10 lol. on the plus side this one has like 8 monster of the week episodes this time and only 2 'plot' ones. The plot ones are introducing even more villains instead of just wrapping up what the started on season 10 ffs so I'm sure they'll just be terrible again http://ew.com/tv/2017/09/29/the-x-files-season-11-first-look-chris-carter/
The conspiracy is getting crowded A powerful figure played by Barbara Hershey emerges in this season’s story, though the showrunner says any resemblance between her red hair and Scully’s is purely coincidental. “It was a thrill to work with her,” Carter says. He also teases the addition of a so-called Mr. Y — and some characters who only appear to be new.
but o well still got the monster ones to look forward to

Watch at your own risk. I totally see what he means though. There's some great shots, but yeah, there's some shit I'd rather not have known about until seeing it.
There's zero spoilers. iirc Johnson has sperged out in the past.
im not really bothered about star wars but there was some excellent looking stuff there
There's zero spoilers. iirc Johnson has sperged out in the past.
There are a couple of things that could be spoilers but I have no way of knowing because I haven't seen the film. [sp]It looks like Kylo Ren is about to shoot the ship with Leia in it and the end implies a Rey-Ren team up. [/sp] But it might all be a ruse.
According to writer for hire Zak Penn, The Matrix Rebooted is not a reboot. And it's not a sequel either. And nothing's happening with it until he's finished. I'm guessing he's really just writing a load of bullshit. In other news, Sylvester Stallone is going to slide back into his directing shorts to direct Creed 2. A somewhat unexpected move, but not unsurprising considering he took over directing duties for nearly all of the Rocky sequels.
Interesting. I really liked creed.
