David Harbour (the 'Stranger Things' guy) talks about playing Hellboy in the new reboot
http://www.comingsoon.net/movies/news/913775-david-harbour-talks-very-practical-and-action-heavy-hellboy-reboot
“It was crazy. It was the hardest job I’ve ever done,” Harbor told MTV at the Golden Globes. “The action that I’m doing in the movie, the rolling around on the ground and punching — things that a 40-year-old man should not be doing — and on top of that, the tremendous amount of prosthetics and makeup, but at the end of the day we would shoot some pretty beautiful stuff. And pretty unique stuff for this type of universe. A lot of it [was] very practical, Practical monsters and practical fights — not a lot of CGI.”
good
also Venom is still a thing
At the panel, Fleisher confirmed the comics storylines Venom will be inspired by. "We want to be as true as possible to the comic with our film," he said. "But our story is primarily based on the Lethal Protector and the Planet of the Symbiotes book."
there's also footage from Brazil Comic Con at the link (not footage from the actual film tho so w/e). not really getting this whole 'WE ARE VENOM' thing they're trying to push super hard lol
not really getting this whole 'WE ARE VENOM' thing they're trying to push super hard lol

Director Ruben Fleischer took inspiration for the character's portrayal from a quote in the comics: "You're Eddie Brock. I'm the symbiote. Together we are Venom."
I guess that's where it came from.
Anyway, I was kind of hoping it'd die in pre-production, but at least Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams have me somewhat interested
To be quite honest I'd much rather have Villeneuve at the helm of future Bladerunner movies.

to be brutally honest I don't think there's gonna be another blade runner movie lol, and this is just yet another case of Ridley Scott being oblivious as to what bad box office returns mean for sequel prospects, like he was doing with Alien Covenants' sequel for months.
Ridley seems like a hyper dude, I swear every few months I hear about him signing on to a new project (his IMDB's 'projects in development' list is absurd tho ofc it's not all movies he wants to direct) or carrying on about how he has ideas for 5 more alien movies lol. Like others have said if there was just a little more quality control on the scripts he takes I might actually be excited for them all.

speaking of good director/bad writer issues: apparently Venom is being directed by the guy that did Zombieland. That's pretty great. Tho sadly it's not being written by the guys that did Zombieland as well, and instead the story is by the guy that wrote Kangaroo Jack and Con Air and lots of other trash lol, so my optimism is still pretty low.
I want Denis to do whatever his heart desires

Probably because he realized no one cares.
you'd think a gambit movie would be pretty easy to make
just make a generic, teen-oriented john wick, then replace gambit's gun with card-throwing in post. i'm sure it'd look great

Jesus this movies gonna end up having gone through at least four directors before it finally gets behind the camera. This shit is just cursed lol and I’m amazed Tatum is still remaining attached to the project throughout all this

It's not coming out, Disney will finish the merger and cancel before it enters production.

Flame on
i seriously don't get the complaints about polgyon's cgi. everybody that says it always just repeats themselves "oh it looks worse than 2d" but never actually details why it looks worse other than "it's cgi so it should be 60 fps!!!" even though it would look awful and super amateur-ish at 60 fps.
[editline]7th January 2018[/editline]
it's like those people that speed up shows or movies to play at 60 fps. why?
And yet despite this their most expressive 3D characters are a bunch of giant transforming robots from another planet.
I mean get a load of Knockout for example. He's like a love letter to camp gay tropes and the animators just went nuts with his expressions.

I don't have any other witticisms to add to that, so just take it as it is.

starz is making a series based on "the continental" from john wick.

(doesn't actually star keanu reeves as protag)
As long as it has Lance Reddick i'm sold
the concept feels like it could lend well to a series

The cast so far is A+, depending on how seriously you take Stephen Dorff.

Still no trailer tho
I really want it to be good but I feel like Duncan's been on a bit of a downward slope. Moon was amazing, Source Code was decent, and then Warcraft... well I never saw it but I certainly heard a lot lol. Hope he bounces back with this tho, especially given how LONG he's been talking about wanting to make it (nearly a decade now jfc)
Guess what arg just woke up

Guess they're sticking with their 4/20 release date

The next generation of Crocodile Dundee is here — and PEOPLE has an exclusive first look.
After a hit original and two sequels, one of the most iconic movie franchises in Australian history is getting revived via a mysterious new project with the original legendary bushman Mick Dundee (played again by Paul Hogan). The actor, with the help of some friends, will be bringing the beloved character back in a fun and surprising way for Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home. Most surprising of all: Danny McBride stars as Dundee’s adventurous son!
“I’m not going to lie to you, to be a real Crocodile Dundee, I think 95% of it is the vest and then 5% is just being able to not fall down and stay on your feet,” McBride tells PEOPLE.
In the first teaser for the project, exclusive to PEOPLE, the Pineapple Express star recreates one of the franchise’s most iconic lines when he looks at the camera and says, “That’s not a knife — that’s a knife.”
“Crocodile Dundee is a film that has stood the test of time,” Hogan tells PEOPLE. “It was a defining moment in my life and one of my proudest accomplishments. Throughout the past few years, I’ve been thinking about how to bring Dundee to a new generation. I’m excited to introduce the new Crocodile Dundee to the world and look forward to sharing more news about those involved very soon.”
Dundee: The Son of a Legend Returns Home arrives this summer.
Crocodile Dundee is back. Well, actually, he’s missing in the Outback. And the only person who might be able to find him is the loudmouthed American son no one knew he had. Introducing Danny McBride as Brian Dundee. This son of a legend is forced to channel his Aussie roots as he embarks on the ultimate adventure in the land down under. It’s time to live up to the family name. Unlike his father, Brian grew up a true city kid. But that won’t stop him from picking up his dad’s oversized knife and launching into the Australian outback, completely unprepared for what lies ahead.
where did this even come from lmao this is so outta nowhere
Who the fuck was asking for another Crocodile Dundee? It's not even a beloved classic that is milkable. It's not even in the same style.
first super troopers now crocodile dundee? i thought we were done with this
At least Super Troopers 2 looks like good dumb fun like the first movie.
Dundee looks like a war crime against Australians
