no, we all saw cloud atlas
I didn't, it looked bad.
that is a wise decision because it is truly awful

But it wasn't, although the only good segments of Cloud Atlas were directed by Tom Tykwer.
one good segment in a shitful film doesn't make the movie not awful, especially when it's completely out of place. just like all the scenes they tried to string together into some kind of meta narrative in the most ham fisted, incoherent fashion.

And that makes it a really faithful to the original source adaptation.

I'm always up for Sharlto Copley (especially when there's also Eddie Izzard and Noah Taylor), but in this day and age, police procedurals need something than just case of the week set in a funky world. See Almost Human. See Person of Interest that picked up after procedural subplots were marginalized.
This mite b cool

Reminds me of Almost Human, which is a good thing. I wish it didn't try to follow up on the superhero angle, though. It's starting to become a cheap gimmick. At least the cast is good, despite Sharlto's accent being flimsy at times.

It looks like it's going the Buffy route: most episodes will be a case of the week deal, but there will be an arcing plot driving everything else. Noah Taylor looks like he's going to play the big villain of the show or at the very least the season.
In the Heart of the Sea
In 1820, the whaleship Essex is crewed by Captain George Pollard, Jr. (Benjamin Walker), first mate Owen Chase (Chris Hemsworth), second mate Matthew Joy (Cillian Murphy), and cabin boy Thomas Nickerson (Tom Holland). During their voyage, the ship is struck by a large bull sperm whale, ultimately leaving its crew shipwrecked at sea for 90 days over a thousand miles from home. [sp]After the attack, the crew sails for South America and is forced to become cannibalistic.[/sp]
Basically, a movie about the true story that inspired the book Moby Dick.

It's just overly stylized, like most of Howard's films.

The director, screenwriter and actors are calling for a boycott of the movie due to the studio doing some greedy shit to the movie.

that was ashton kutcher, who hasn't done anything worthwhile besides butterfly effect and that 70's show.
christian bale on the other hand is a quality actor.
