The film looks really fun and charming, and the voice cast is amazing (Bryan Cranston, Edward Norton, Bill Murray, Jeff Goldblum and KEN FUCKING WATANBE among others).
isle of dogs is having its premier in a few weeks just down the road from me but the tickets went on sale in the middle of my end of semester exam and they sold out
REEEEEEEE

seems paramount just doesnt trust its sci-fi movies anymore.
Think again!
Paramount's handling the release of Overlord, and is currently aiming for a Halloween release.
Which only reinforces the idea that The Cloverfield Paradox was dumped onto Netflix because they had very little confidence in it.

Here's another clip for it.

here's some pretty random news: idk if anyone remembers, but back in 2015 Christopher Nolan made entirely by himself a SHORT documentary on the Quay brother's surreal stop motion films. Someone just came across a German interview from today with the Quay's where they reveal Nolan asked to help produce a new (presumably stop motion) short film for them. They sent him a script (that he didn't even understand lol) and they finished filming a little while ago. Expect to see it soon i guess
"In 2015 Christopher Nolan filmed a short documentary about you. How did the world's commercial director want to make a movie about you?
Very exciting. The best thing was that he came to our studio, which is our house, and filmed with a 35 mm camera that he operated himself. And he knows very well what he is doing, when he was a young man doing experimental films. He sees the animation like us and realizes that the miniatures have their own kingdom and it is immense. And one year after doing the short, he offered to produce a movie with the condition that it would not last more than 25 minutes and that we shot it in 35 mm. And, clear, we accepted charmed. We sent a kind of script and confessed that he understood nothing but did not matter because he trusted us. We finished filming a month ago and now we are working on the assembly."
kewl, I'm totally down for more surreal stop-motion films

Jordan Peele is considering a sequel to Get Out
“I will definitely, seriously consider it. I love that universe and feel like there’s more story to tell. I don’t know what it is now, but there are some loose ends, if you know the movie.”
as long as he's directing then yea sure go4it. Peele can do whatever the fuck he wants as far as I'm concerned and I'll watch it.
also shout-outs to the emoji movie turning Peele off of acting again anytime soon lmao
While a Get Out sequel may be in Jordan Peele’s future, more acting gigs are not. At least for now. Peele recently told The Hollywood Reporter that his acting days were on hold, and that he’d rather focus on writing, directing and producing instead. While accepting the D.G.A. Award for best first-time director, Peele reaffirmed this decision, and explained what inspired it: The Emoji Movie. In his D.G.A. speech, Peele revealed that he was originally offered the role of Poop in The Emoji Movie, and it was enough to give him serious pause. “The Emoji Movie actually helped me quit acting,” Peele said (via Variety). “I was offered the role of Poop.”
Peele went on to say that he found the offer “fucked up,” but then said he’d sleep on it. Peele also asked how much money he would be paid for the role. His manager then told him, “They’ve already given it to Sir Patrick Stewart.” “I was like, ‘Fuck this,'” Peele said.
Imagine getting offered the role of Poop.

That sucks because he was great. Hope he can score some good films in the future though

Gonna watch it for the Hardy Boy
It looks like a bra
Speaking of swallowing stuff, apparently The Predator's "taken from the headlines" plot was so transparently off with test audiences they'll be reshooting for two weeks in March.
:disappoint:

Will the secret to great Spiderman movies be lead actors with the initials TH?
Looks surprisingly boring.
At least give us a bit of Venom at the end of the trailer or something, guys. Yeesh.
They just got done filming it and has just started post production, i don't think they are gonna show off something that ain't done yet. Granted i could have waited for a better teaser trailer but i do think it's pretty cool they are showing off the character behind the mask first rather then blowing their load and showing off venom first. I'm willing to bet we will see the money shot in the next trailer or a back shot of venom. At least they nailed the look of the logo, so that's something to take away from it
Yeah i really don't think they're ready to show what is likely the most cgi heavy thing in the movie in the first teaser dude
The "Lobo" movie may finally have a director should the deal go through: Michael Bay

zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
goddammit
Anyone but him
I guess Joaquin Phoenix is on the top of the list for Joker in the Batman standalone.

Jesus the DCEU is a clusterfuck
Lol, just let the DCCU die and reboot it in a couple years. It has been terrible and squandering some potentially good casts.
DC has been on such bad footing for their competing universe with Marvel that I'm very inclined to agree, they just need to shutter whatever they're doing until they can get their Ducks in a row and figure things out. It's a shame too because I personally, loved Man of Steel and for all the shit Suicide Squad gets (much of it deservedly so) I still found it to be a fun watch.
Marvel made it work and continues to because they had their game plan mapped out for years ahead. It feels like DC is the equivalent of the fat kid hauling ass down the road towards the Ice Cream truck, wheezing, dry heaving and trying with all his might but still never making it.
Now you've got Bay directing Lobo? Bye.
Personally, I'm fed up with both the DC Extended Universe and the Marvel Cinematic Universe
I just hope the avengers get the shit beaten out of them in Infinity War. So many bad throwaway villains and now we have the god himself, the biggest antagonist from the comics. I really hope he kicks them to the next moon and doesn't become a laughing stock like Ultron. God he was such a disappointment.

Speculations and Probs Spoilers, I don't read comics so take what I say with Lot's Wife as a snack
[sp]
1) Vision is going to die since he has one of the stones in his noggin.
2) Falcon, Hawkeye and probably War Machine are going to bite it in the first part to cause fake tension
3) Either Tony, Cap or Thor are going to be horribly disabled near the end of Part 1 allowing Thanos to get away
4) Black Widow will probably think about sacrificing herself but Hulk will save her last minute
5) Black Panther will fuck up and have a lot of Wakandan troops die, causing tension
6) Bucky is going to sacrifice himself for a dumb reason
7) Groot will do funny haha [/sp]

God bless you, Brad Bird. :ok:
nothing about that grinch teaser appeared at all original or exciting
apparently there's already a 5th cloverfield movie possibly??? Bad robot is making a movie called Kloma and people are assuming its a cloverfield film because of how little info there is about it:
http://www.slashfilm.com/cloverfield-5/
https://movieweb.com/cloverfield-5-daisy-ridley-jj-abrams-kolma/
people are assuming this movie is genuine because the tagurato page still has hebrew all over it and the movie's cover is a israeli film
As long as Cloverlord doesn’t suck, I’m always down for more.
I have inside information that Assassin's Creed 2 and 3 are planned to be released. A sequel is definitely in production right now. yay (?)

Didn't even watch the first one on the basis that video game movies are always made by people who have never played the game they're making a movie about. There is never any true love or actual attention to the details that would make it a proper homage to any game. Seeing as I have heard nothing about it since it released I am going to assume I am right about it as well.

Didn't realize it even did that well to begin with.
