I have inside information that Assassin's Creed 2 and 3 are planned to be released. A sequel is definitely in production right now. yay (?)

Michael Fassbender has joined the Kung Fury movie. I don't know what to think about this.
Is Michael Fassbender really that hard up for money?
Why hasn't Fassbender been in a good movie in like 3 years? He's fantastic but by this point he's been in more garbage than good movies
The director of Paddington and Paddington 2 has signed on to direct a prequel to 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' that centers around the character of Willy Wonka https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/paddington-director-paul-king-talks-willy-wonka-1080166 I mean both Paddington movies have insanely good reviews so yea sure why not also in other incredibly darker news (well, rumors), Sony is allegedly having second thoughts about Producing Tarintino's wildly expensive 'Manson' movie after an interview with Howard Stern again resurfaced where Tarintino claimed the 13 year old girl Roman Polanski raped “wanted to have it… she was down with this”. Which is probably becoming an issue now because (aside from the massive budget) Tarintino's Manson movie has also recently revealed it'll have an actor portraying Roman Polanski himself in the film as one of the characters... https://theplaylist.net/sony-reconsider-tarantino-manson-20180212/ [del]why does Polanski need to be a character in this movie...[/del] o lmao i forgot Sharon Tate was his wife
Weird part is, he's always good in those garbage movies. Like, everyone else is just sleepwalking through it, but he'll put his all into the trash material he's given.
It's like in Deathstalker II, everyone else is taking their roles seriously but the lead knows he's in a shitty movie and just laughs and hams it up. Fassbender is in the same position only reversed. He knows he's in a mediocre/garbage film, but goddamn he pours himself into the role where everyone else is kindof phoning it in. His inclusion into Kung Fury both excites and terrifies me.
also in other incredibly darker news (well, rumors), Sony is allegedly having second thoughts about Producing Tarintino's wildly expensive 'Manson' movie after an interview with Howard Stern again resurfaced where Tarintino claimed the 13 year old girl Roman Polanski raped “wanted to have it… she was down with this”.
Why hasn't Fassbender been in a good movie in like 3 years? The more connections he makes, the longer he'll be on peoples' short lists.
why does Polanski need to be a character in this movie...
Reading him up on Wikipedia tells that his wife and a couple friends were murdered by Manson and gang.
why does Polanski need to be a character in this movie...
uhh might wanna wiki that, cause it's not for anti pc reasons.
People are only now realising Tarantino is a twat?
why does Polanski need to be a character in this movie...
Sharon Tate was the wife of Roman Polanski for only about a year before being killed by the Manson family. [editline]13th February 2018[/editline] It'd be dumb to do a movie about the Manson family (which is a ride in and of itself, I suggest looking into it) and not including that.
i can already tell im gonna nut in the theatre
Do you really want to do that in a theater full of kids?
I'm reading the 2018 SXSW film lineup, and the description for Jinn sounds like a neural net made it
A shape-shifting, pepperoni-loving, black teenage Instagram celebrity explores her identity and sexuality in the midst of her mother’s conversion to Islam.

Oh God
Its the Japanese movie they did a few years ago, they're just now releasing it here in the west
Honestly it looks fucking terrible from just the poster alone, like why is Edward not Caucasian? One of the most blatant themes in FMA is the parallels to Europe in Amestris/Drachma/whatevertothewest and Xing in the East being Asian culture with the characters specifically drawn to look white/asian respectively. Same issue as the video game movies, no respect for the details and world they're trying to portray, they just want to be the ones who "did" it.

That being said, though, if Hollywood did get their hands on either Fullmetal or Attack on Titan, I too would expect an American/European descent cast.

It's like why Japan wasn't collectively angry with Scarlett Johansson being cast in Ghost in the Shell, they said it was being tailored for an American audience, so why not have an American in the lead role? Also, I don't think there's a lot of fluent white actors living in Japan so it's just easier to have a Japanese cast.
Which comes to my point of if it isn't being done right, why do it other than money? And I thought the SJ Ghost in the Shell movie was just as terrible and stupid for doing the same thing. I'm salty because both are close to my heart and we get these weird bastardizations when honestly the success of the both of these came from their quality and the movies just shit on that legacy. More so both of these in other media have been so successful that they COULD keep to the source material but that would mean breaking exclusivity in a country or their minimum-effort/maxmimum-profit would be compromised so nooooo they can't do that. I am sure they could've found someone to fill the role of Edward who could either a.know japanese or b. have someone sub it over him. But no that would insult the audience of Japan and wouldn't make ANY sense at all!! But butchering it is a-ok for the audience right?? I just can't view any good reason for doing it other than wanting to make relatively easy profit on a big name.
if a japanese studio wants to take a japanese property and make a movie for japanese audiences, do you expect them to only search for european actors who speak japanese? really limits your casting options and drives up production costs, for something that everyone involved likely understands is just a cheap cash-in on a popular license. sometimes, movie making is just a job [editline]14th February 2018[/editline] i'm not saying it wouldn't be fucking incredible if it was all art all of the time, i'm just saying it's unrealistic to expect much out of these anime tie-ins. as far as i know, they churn them out constantly in japan
Pretty much, they even did another Death Note around the same time as the Netflix movie
Doesn't mean it is right or that I can't bitch about it, and I disagree that making movies is sometimes just a job because mindsets like that is why we we've had reboots falling out of hollywood's anus for the past few years. Easy money. I just can't agree with some nihilistic "oh thats just the way it is" mindset when it is reasonably possible to achieve AT LEAST the main characters heritage especially when it plays a huge role in the piece. I'm sure the creator of FMA would love to see her work put this way, hell I can't imagine seeing some alien looking piece of trash with your title plastered across it for everyone to associate it with your hard (and others for the anime) work. And I know there isn't much to TRULY do about it, but I still feel bitter every time one of those makes the rounds because it is usually something I truly enjoyed as a work.

A new member has been added to the cast of the kung fury movie.
Arnold Schwarzenegger joins the cast of Kung Fury, the feature-length sequel to the cult short film of the same name.
Source : http://www.ign.com/articles/2018/02/15/arnold-schwarzenegger-cast-in-kung-fury-movie :what: Damn, that's pretty impressive that they got him on board for this.

Imagine if Arnold ends up being Hitler. Kung Fury was shit (despite being a really impressive technical feat for something funded through Kickstarter), but I'd be lying if this cast didn't capture my attention. Fassbender picks his movies by dartboard, but Schwarzenegger is at least the right kind of goofy for something this stupid.
Arnold is probably going to be the president
