Troll Sex Movie 'Border' Wins Top Prize in Cannes' Un Certain Re.. Now that's a headline.
yikes just make an Avenue Q movie please
I think somewhere in here there's a good plot, but the jokes are worse than the ones in Susage Party and Melissa McCarthy is starring.
i really want to see this, why make people wait 6 months for a film i cant see getting much of a theatrical release?
Don Quixote isn't getting good reviews at all at Cannes.
Yeaaa saw that coming lol. As nice as it would've been for Terry Gilliam to finally make a well received movie again for the one film he's spent so long trying to make, the dude's films have just been in a total slump lately. Bit of a lame ending to this whole ordeal but o well at least it exists.

Every time i see Future World, it just looks like an Asylum knock-off to me.
The Milla Jovovich double feature?

But is it a better title than Jungle Book: Origins?
Gonna be hard to top Junglebook.
I think it actually looks pretty good and they ain't adapting the disney version, they are adapting the book. Andy explains it all in this BTS video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KjJ0j0Z3U2w
The fact that it's not a Disney version, Andy Serkis is behind it, and a great looking cast intrigues me.
That movie just looks miserable, why the fuck would that be your selling point? Besides that the animals just look bad, but it is still early so maybe they can fix that.
The original material the jungle book (disney) is based off isn't exactly all sunshine and rainbows either that's probably why they are trying to sell it as such to distance itself from disney's version.
I get that, it's just going to be a tough sell to the general audience.

https://www.instagram.com/p/BjFsj6JHEdq/ I didn't care to begin with, and I care even less about it now. I hope people weren't looking forward to this.
he should have avoided posting anything like that because man, his prose is fucking terrible. which is not surprising at all
DC being in the straits that it currently is, this is inevitable, at least from a licensing point of view. The Watchmen movie was the precursor to the current zeitgeist of "that one R rated movie a year that makes an asston of money" building off the risk and reward precedent that 300 set. DC's television offerings are about the only things they have left that make consistent money, and Lindelof is of the age where he's almost required to make anything profitable in order to stay in the business for the rest of his life, which he clearly wants to do. So this will go forward, and he will commit to attempting to do somethinganything that will put asses in seats for a series, and DC will do anything to front load their new service with padded viewing numbers just so TW will stop considering dumping the entire company like they did with WCW. Remember WCW and how much money it made for TW? Pepperidge Farm remembers. Didn't stop TW from dumping it the second it got out of line and started slipping in the ratings, because they never wanted it in their portfolio to begin with. DC is and has been in the same boat. When it comes to licensing, the numbers are pretty good, especially Batman. When it comes to making new branded content, it's either feast or famine with nothing in between and TW is all about consistent dollars via "entertainment services" cause that's the hip new thing everyone's doing. Looking over his work history isn't really giving off any "I thrive under pressure and can work with controversial material vibes" either. It looks like they picked this based simply on the amount of press it'll generate, hoping they can pull a miracle from their asses by the time it's ready to show to the public. Good luck, I guess.
