First picture from newest Iñárritu film: The Revenant, starring Leo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy. Yes, now's the time to get hype.
could leo finally get that oscar?
I like the premise.
In the 19th century, Hugh Glass (DiCaprio), a fur trapper, is mauled by a bear while hunting. His companions (Hardy, Poulter, and Gleeson)[3] rob him and leave him to die, but he survives and sets out to get revenge on the men who betrayed him.
A good old fashioned revenge thriller.
I like Anthony Hopkins
I like the premise.
Wait what, when did Domhnall Gleeson joined the film? Damn, this kid is going places, and the film looks like a candidate for a MOTY. Another one: Yep, that's Lubezki on the right,
30 Rock is gone and Tina Fey has something new It's like a show about Erin

No forgiveness for 1998. None. (In all seriousnes though) This can end only badly
independence day 2 what
that alien looks ridiculous [editline]23rd January 2015[/editline] i mean, quality-wise it's good but why does it have such a huge upper body?
Because that's an exosuit.
It looks like they've gone and tried to make Fantastic Four dark and gritty.
Man, I can't wait to get even angrier when I actually watch it. Jamie Bell as The Thing? Johnny Storm is black and Sue's white, even though they're still siblings? Fucking Doom?
as terrible as the other films were at least the thing wasn't cgi.
I have no idea what this is but I want more. Looks like indie, raunchier Mad Max and I love it.
^ leeeets fucking goooooo
as terrible as the other films were at least the thing wasn't cgi.
He looks cool though. It's not like the use is frivolous. He's proportioned with impossibly wide shoulders and impossibly long arms and he's made of rocks that are more jagged than you can really preserve without wearing down too quickly in any soft material. If they can get the face right, why not make him CG? The old Ben Grimm was an incredible piece of work as well. There's room for all sorts of interpretation when you have a comic book character whose #1 defining characteristic is that he's made of rocks and his #2 defining characteristic is that those rocks are orangey-yellow. Then again I'm pretty sure your comment was a backhanded dismissal of CG as a legitimate craft, so I don't think much discussion's gonna happen on the subject. Sue storm is adopted in this interpretation.
I don't get why they would make Sue Storm adopted when they could have just made her black as well and not have to explain anything.
On the other hand, considering all the other unnecessary stupid changes they made, I wouldn't be all that surprised. I mean, when you're making the 2005 version seem like the better adaptation while not even being out yet, something has gone horribly wrong.
the new ghostbusters reboot cast http://www.superherohype.com/news/328081-the-ghostbusters-reboot-cast-revealed Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty), Melissa McCarthy (The Heat, Tammy), Leslie Jones (“Saturday Night Live,” Top Five) and Kate McKinnon (“Saturday Night Live,” Life Partners).
http://deadline.com/2015/01/chris-pratt-indiana-jones-guardians-of-the-galaxy-disney-1201360637/ Deadline has caught wind of a potential Indiana Jones reboot that's being discussed right now at Disney, with Chris Pratt favored to be the one to replace Ford. Could be interesting if they get a good enough director I suppose. [editline]27th January 2015[/editline] Pratt is also in talks for a staring role in a Magnificent Seven remake. This guy is just fucking dominating hollywood right now, fucking hell.
I could legitimately see Pratt being the new Indiana Jones. At least it's not Shia Lebouf, which they seemed to hint at at the end of Crystal Skull.

He could play that sort of dashing and daring rogue with a heart for adventure. Shee Leebuuf just kinda stares and whines

Especially when his role in Jurassic World seemed to be pretty familar to the Indiana's archetype.

That kinda funny, charismatic action star that shouldn't reaaally be an action star. It's perfect.
