After their incredible work on Rango I'm none too concerned. Glad to see the attention to detail is still there.

Worrying news
Sea of Trees was apparently booed at in Cannes and has a 0% on RT right now. I'm still cautiously excited but let's not get optimistic.
i hear about so much stuff being booed at cannes, people probably do it because it's a social convention at this point

It should be worrying, but then I remind myself about Only God Forgives that had the exact same reaction and critics' backlash, and for me it turned out to be quite good. I'll hold my judgment before I see it.

I like OGF, but most people still hate it

looks like a spinoff of interstellar

Might look like it, but it's really far from it. Story is about one astronaut getting marooned on Mars and all the creative problem solving needed to survive that environment.
I highly recommend reading the book.
oh yeah that, i read the wiki summary. sounds alright.
Sounds like my kind of movie.

Started reading the book after your recommendation.
Holy shit it's a good book. Can't wait for the movie.

Apparently he stepped out because he wanted to do two films when the Producers wanted one.

Kind of looks like Scott just recycled the space suits from Prometheus and added a couple things to it. Either way, I'm hyped already.

No firing a gun in the air and going "Aaaaaghh." They've fucked up too much already.

That book is amazing and I've been waiting for the movie's promotional stuff for ages, I hope they don't fuck it up.

Looks really cool actually. Only problem is the name.
I'm not sure if lack of recognizable names is a positive or a negative thing. Looks different enough from the original, might be ok.
The actors don't seem to be very good in the trailer, though.

this year is the 40th anniversary of jaws, the only film to actually scare me. that being said, i have to find a theater that it's playing it, and hopefully one nearby.

The premise is retarded, stoner films are the worst and it features Jesse Eisenberg and Kristen Stewart - both of them criticized by mainstream for being too bland and one-faced (the public is wrong on that one, they're both good actors nonetheless).
But then, John Wick, The Guest and Kingsmen also had two things being clear from the trailer - weird premise, and fucking crazy action. Holding my judgment on that one.
This trailer is full of spoilers tho wtf
I think it would be difficult to come up with a worse title than "Cop Car", but overall looks interesting.
