Looking good, but be careful - it's spoilerish enough. If you already want to watch this film, do not watch the trailer.

Aaaaaaaaand another Paranormal Activity. Some interesting ideas at the begining, but still...

the writer/director's last (only) film got great reviews and that's a pretty solid trailer, so I'm interested I guess.
So wait, is this a sequel to Rocky 6?
This thread made me read The Martian during my long car rides this weekend, and it was great. Anybody who thinks the movie looked at least a bit interesting, give the book a read.

It looks exactly the same like last three David O. Russel films (and not only because he's using the same actors). It's going to be that film that gets like 12 Oscar nominations, wins none or one out of pity, and nobody will remember it after a year.
But two of those were pretty good movies.

No. Silver Linings Playbook was actually a well-written and well-acted romantic comedy, which seeing how this genre drowns in shit was refreshing but there was really no substence, nothing that could elevate this film to the exposure it got.
American Hustle screamed with every single frame: "MISSED POTENTIAL". It had everything - amazing cast consisting of fat Christian Bale, great as bitchy wife Amy Adams, Jennifer Lawrence playing her character from SLP but even more over the top for no reason, great cameos from De Niro and Louis C.K., amazing feeling of the seventies, the costumes, the music, the set design. And yet it dragged so much. At least it was consistent, because as it was boring at the beginning it remained the same till the very end. I'd wish to say that the story was bad, but there was no story whatsoever, O'Russel just wanted to put these characters on screen together, well there you have it.
The third one I won't even name, because I'm not a monster, if the director himself is so ashamed that he Alan Smithee it.
I was talking about The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook. I forgot about Nailed.
I was talking about The Fighter and Silver Linings Playbook. I forgot about Nailed.
Don't expect me to talk shit about The Fighter, that film was dope. I'd say it was the only film of his that was really great, I'm still unsure on Three Kings.
At first I wasn't entirely convinced, but that new The Muppets series might be a great fresh mix of the good old formula.

Is this the film that will make Hollywood realize how much of a great actor Ben Mendelsohn is? I hope so.
