The title is The Revenant, aka the frontrunner in the Oscar race since January, despite the fact that principal photography has ended just this month.
are you sure? because i would think with a trailer from two months ago and all that they would have been just about finished with production altogether

regardless the film looks great and i'll be that one guy who wants to go see this over star wars

regardless the film looks great and i'll be that one guy who wants to go see this over star wars
At the time the trailer was released, they still haven't figured out (nor shoot) the ending. Mostly because of the Inarritu's obsession about using only real light and props, the set being damaged and random and all sorts of different things.
The main sign that filming was ended was Leonardo DiCaprio, who cut his bun and shaved his beard earlier this week (he repeatedly said that he kept it because of the filming). Thus principal photography and reshoots are finished.
Iñárritu was insistent that computer-generated imagery not be used to enhance the film, stating "If we ended up in greenscreen with coffee and everybody having a good time, everybody will be happy, but most likely the film would be a piece of shit."
amazing
"The snow melted down, literally, in front of our eyes…..We experienced global warming; we were planning to shoot the ending scene in a location that supposedly will have snow…[But there were] bees. So we had to shut down."
I don't blame them.
MPAA RATING: R (for strong frontier combat and violence including gory images, a sexual assault, language and brief nudity)
This movie is gonna be so good
Yeah it's doing my head in. They renamed Prometheus from being an "ALIEN" titled movie, now they've renamed the sequel from being a "PROMETHEUS" movie. Prometheus was already a film that felt like it didn't know what it wanted to be, an Alien film or an original film (especially if you read the original script). I see they still haven't sorted that out lol.
i bet they'll rename it again to a totally new title in a few months just to further fuck with people
remember right after it came out when ridley was insisting 'ITS NOT A FUCKING ALIEN MOVIE IT'S ITS OWN THING!!!'
nice one ridley
I'm starting to think the sequel was originally called Paradise Lost and now he's just thrown the Alien name on it because he learned that distancing the series from the Alien franchise was stupid
it wouldve gotten away as a spinoff if it didnt have such an obvious alien nod in the credits scene
The entire fucking film was an Alien nod, half of the film was literally "look how much we're not alien by remaking scene by scene".
I want to watch the x files but I don't know if I can commit to a show with over 200 episodes, especially since I've heard a fair number of them suck.

There's only ~65 episodes that actually deal with the main plot of the show. The rest are just random unconnected monster of the week episodes, and there's plenty of lists floating around that can tell you which of those are worth watching.
started watching it a while ago, never went too far though. even the worst episodes have that 90s charm to them so if you like that stuff you'll enjoy them anyway
To be honest I never really liked the monster episodes, mainly just the plot ones. I hear its the other way around for most people but I don't really see why.
the episodes that are totally filler are some of the best
like the one where mulder goes through the bermuda triangle, ends up on a nazi boat and scully is their commander
In other news, there might be a Cabin in the Woods sequel.
If it happens, Goddard and Whedon would likely write it and Goddard would direct it, but I really can't see where they'd go after the first movie.

[sp]Cabin in space[/sp]
Jaws 8 and Jaws 15 were the best in the franchise.

Damn that movie looks pumped up.
Does anyone know when Victoria is coming out? IMDB says a limited release starts tomorrow and a lot of websites have reviews up but as far as I know, nowhere's showing it
The only thing you need to know: written and directed by Coen Brothers.
But if you still remain unconvinced, here's the delicious trailer:

The fuck is this
I'm really annoyed by Hollywood's use of 'Inspired/based on true events' marketing ploy.
Is that the guy from Men in Black
I can't believe I'm saying it but the second sequel to the planet of the apes reboot is one of my most anticipated movies.
