I think it's because it seems to be just one story containing all characters, much unlike the first movie.

The Judge- starring Robert Downey Jr, Robert Duvall, Vera Farminga and Billy Bob Thorton

I'm not really liking the whole "feel good movie of the year" vibe the trailer gives, but I really like RDJ, Robert Duvall, and Billy Bob well enough to go see this.
Why is it that american TV show trailers give away so much of the story? This (relatively) new trailer for Gracepoint tells almost two episodes worth.

Compare that to Broadchurch

Sorry, what was the point in the US remake?
It's almost shot for shot the same. Even the locations look the same. The dialogue is identical. Heck your lead man is the same actor.
Why not just do a massive marketing campaign for the original? This is serious deja vu
Sorry, what was the point in the US remake?

First episodes being almost shot for shot is nothing new when it comes to remakes.
Am I right in saying that Chibnall wrote the entire series of Broadchurch, whereas he's only writing the first episode of Gracepoint? Where 'writing' is adapting the original opening of the story and allowing it to develop from there - hasn't he already said the development and resolution will be different?
For a successful remake, take The Office for example. The US pilot was a straight up adaptation of the British version and written by Ricky Gervais. The same happened with the I.T. Crowd - though not so successfully.

the office remake was successful because is strayed from the UK office and found it's own sense of humour. the first few seasons which were very similar to the UK version are it's worst seasons.
if it had stayed shot for shot like the pilot it would not have garnered even close it it's current success.
A first look at Fury, a WWII movie following a tank crew in 1945 Germany. Stars Brad Pitt, Michael Pena, Jon Bernthal, and Shia LeBouf.

Well it looks like it could be at least fairly good, especially since I love Brad Pitt. Not expecting a whole lot though above a fun action movie, then again trailers are often shit at showcasing what the final product will be like.

Same director did Street Kings, Harsh Times and Sabotage, so be careful.

Wouldn't have guessed that's Charlize Theron.
Operation "Resurrect Western" is still going - time for some black western:

Looks a little low budget, or the trailer makes it look like one. But I don't care because it's a western
Yes, and if you hadn't heard - Franco Nero returns as a fucking Django in Django Lives, a film by Tarantino's second editor, Joe D'Augustine
The new film will be set in 1915, with Nero playing the role of an older Django working as a consultant to producers of silent movie westerns who gets involved with racketeers. Nero spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the project last year, then in the concept stage, calling it "the final chapter in Django's story.
Fuck yes.
Damn, I didn't expect that. Cool.
Based on Cormac McCarthy novel, and directed by James Franco:

Normally, I wouldn't give two damns about this film, but I have faith in John C. Reilly casting choice and this might not look that bad. And I'm getting more conviced to Dane DeHaan, looks like he can play someone else than angsty teenager.

What....the hell did I just watch? Seriously, that Life After Beth trailer just went all over the place, but I see what you mean about Dane DeHaan. And Child of God looks interesting.
This one looks interesting. The Disappearance of Eleanor Rigby is a romance trilogy, composed of three parts: Him, Her, Them, and each part will have a different perspective of the same story. I'm a sucker for good-written romantic films, that are not offending viewer's intelligence with their naivety. This one, with its concept, reminds about Before Trilogy. And both Jessica Chastain and James McAvoy are top notch actors, so it might be good.

[sp]I swear to God if there won't be at least one reference to The Beatles...[/sp]
Wouldn't have guessed that's Charlize Theron.
looks hot
I don't know what to think of this.

looks terrible, like what anchorman 2 did. which is a shame because the first horrible bosses was actually a pretty funny movie and i love charlie day
Gran Torino with Bill Murray.
I'm game.
uh, have you actually seen gran torino?...
St. Vincent looks really good.
A film entirely in sign language - no voice-over, no subtitles. Interesting, and confusing:

A new film version of the Odyssey that doesn't immediately appear to be like Clash of the Titans? Sweet!
christian bale as moses? hmph.
edit: well fuck me this film has an impressive cast.
Christian Bale as Moses
Joel Edgerton as Rhamses
Aaron Paul as Joshua
John Turturro as Seti
Ben Kingsley as Nun
Sigourney Weaver as Tuya
Oh god dammit I don't want another Biblical movie, fuck that! I wanted a high-budget adaption of The Odyssey that isn't total bull-ponkey like all of those other Greek myth movies.
But it's Ridley Scott helming a historical epic. This could be fucking Kingdom of Heaven tier brilliance.
