Katherine Waterston's character name in the upcoming Alien: Covenant was apparently leaked, and the film studio is freaking out now and going around demanding everyone censor it out for some reason. That seems weird but I guess we're not meant to know who she is going into the film. I'm sure if you look hard enough you'll find it but I guess I'll keep it a surprise for myself for now. Not that I have the highest hopes for the film anyways lol.

I prefer the version that Ripley was a random person that luckily managed to survive, not that she was destined to do it because family bullshit.
I was fairly optimistic for Alien: Covenant but now I just don't really care. I hate when people release prequels that try too hard to throw back to the original movies just because fan service and because they can't do something completely new

This is why the series will always be a trilogy to me. Alien 3 might have had a troubled development history and be a bit disappointing, but it showed that the Alien destroyed everything Ripley had and she was willing to kill herself to prevent it from being used and destroying anyone else's life. It was one of the better ways of ending the series.
Outside of those three movies, Alien: Isolation makes for a good spin off.
