Iv'e read the book and it's an interesting take on the whole Zombo Apoc genre, especially the ending. It's uncanny how much it reminds me of the last of us game, but cordyceps zombies is not a new idea.
Henry Cavill‘s Superman will fly solo again in a sequel to “Man of Steel” going into active development at Warner Bros., a person familiar with the project told TheWrap.
...
Despite Superman’s battle with Batman, DC has been silent on a sequel to “Man of Steel” featuring Superman solo, leading many frustrated fanboys to believe that another film wasn’t going to happen. But a person close to the project told TheWrap that Superman is a top priority for the studio and getting the character right for audiences is of tantamount importance.
I hope they continue ripping off Superman: Earth One, seeing as it's much better than whatever the fuck Man of Steel ended up as.
As soon as I know Johns is in complete control as the producer, I'll be fine with its existence.
Holy fuck, it's Denis Villeneuve straight outta nowhere with a new Oscar contender

I just caught the trailer on Olympics coverage and damn I'm getting good vibes from it. When I saw it was Villeneveue

I was fucking stoked
My feeling is [sp]they'll never show actual aliens or anything of such, but instead it will be a psychological/philosophical drama about human nature and possible consequences[/sp]

With the little plot so far i could sware i have seen a film incredibly similar to this back in the 90's. A large floating shape gets found out in the desert and the millitary cordon it off. No idea what it was called though or what happened, or even if it was aliens at all. (not sphere if any one's thinking of that pile of shit).
How does Denis manage to pump out quality movies just about every year
does he make like 10 movies a year wtf
he comes up with so many ideas because he's actually three kids in a trenchcoat

It's probably not going to happen, since A, Fincher doesn't do sequels anymore and B, this really isn't Fincher's typical oeuvre. Still, I kind of want this to happen. Can you imagine how fucked up and awesome David Fincher could make this?

This really didn't need a sequel

If Fincher goes back to sequels I want "The Girl Who Played With Fire" first, especially how Daniel Craig is now back to mainstream film rotation.
You don't even have to remake the third one, do this one, borrow few plot threads from the ending and I'm happy with that.

That's an exciting prospect. I didn't realize it until you brought it up, but I'm almost desperate to see Craig in a good drama :v:

From the recent rumours, after Bond feud Craig is out of Sony, and Alicia Vikander is named to replace Mara. Also, they're adapting the newest, non-canonical book first, with the second/third part afterwards.
That's like three retarded decisions in a row

Also, the A24 logo before the film is like a quality mark now

Yeah the guy that played Cleary is in quite a lot of stuff now too, like Stranger Things and Morgan.
Which are both weirdly very similar.
And the new Guardians of the Galaxy movie. Getting that Disney money too.

what is this?
Passengers, starring J-Law and C-Pratt
The only thing I know about it is that Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Pratt share a sex scene in the movie.
John Michael McDonagh, director of Calvary and The Guard is making his own The Nice Guys, starring Alexander Skarsgård, Michael Pena and Theo James

Also, just learned that he's a brother of Martin McDonagh, the director of In Bruges and Seven Psychopaths. Now that's a talented family.

thanks for the info D-chik
i like that their appeal is that originally they weren't conventionally attractive - but now they both look like completely generic hollywood stars
