It certainly looks interesting, but I'm curious how far from the truth this film will be. I have serious doubts that they would show the accurate recreation of both Turing's life and cracking the Enigma. [editline]21st July 2014[/editline] That honestly reminds me the best of Looper: It might go either way, but I really hope that it's going to be a cult classic.
I really want to see a film where time travel forms causal loops instead of allowing changes of the past, this heroic bullshit where the protagonist changes destiny is annoying. I want a good time-travel film already.
I'll be honest, this for me is the most surprising trailer of this year. Definitely a must watch. [sp]Holy fuck that change of pacing from "quirky comedy" to "actually stressful drama" was amazing.[/sp]
I can't not hear cave johnson.
That trailer gave me whiplash.

This film is probably a second Oscar nom for Gyllenhaal. Also, another poster for Horns: [t]http://i.imgur.com/YMQtzb0.jpg[/t]
Huh, I kept thinking Nightcrawler was going to take place in the 80s. Either way, still really excited for it.

Isn't Tusk a joke that me made on his podcast that he decided to turn into a film?
And this appeared on Comic-Con. I have no idea how to feel about this:
Only way to make a good Hitman movie is to remove any emotions from Agent 47. They tried giving him emotions in the last movie, and we all know how well that worked out.
Only way to make a good Hitman movie is to remove any emotions from Agent 47. They tried giving him emotions in the last movie, and we all know how well that worked out.
There is a certain problem with video games and their adaptations. The problem is, that certain things that work well in games, doesn't necessarily translate well to the big screen. It comes from the fact, that in video games the most important factor is gameplay, rest like story, aesthetics, characters, music - it comes later. So what counts in video game as a good story, might not be ideal for film - great example here is Max Payne. I love this game with all my heart, and I love the story, but would it work on screen? Probably not, not without some heavy rewrites with acknowledging the source material. Exact same thing is with Hitman. It's one of the most recognizable franchises in the industry, with established backstory and certain key factors to the character. In video game, emotionless character worked well, it allowed for immersion. But in film? Viewers don't want to see a main character they cannot relate with well.
