Not gonna lie, the second Apes movie was actually pretty fun and had some nice world building to it. The final fight was retarded but was still entertaining
I like both movies a lot
i had to google that but there are actual human beings alive who watch this show????
Most people have terrible taste.
I though both Apes films were a great reimagining of the franchise. I'm certainly looking forward to the War. I hope they'd bring back Brian Cox's character from the first one. It seems like an interesting story arc where he'd despise Caesar and his Apes for killing his son and believing them reaponsible for the state of the world; and in turn fuelling others' hatred.
I liked the first one, but the second was just so clichè and by the numbers, I'm not sure how anyone could argue with that. I don't want to get into an argument, but to understand my thoughts you should watch the review of YMS.
Dawn had some boring human characters Imo. Hope they fix that

I may be biased because I loved the originals, but the reboots have been great on many levels. They explored the same concepts as the originals, but also brought the series up to modern standards and didn't just copy the script of the originals making it a reboot, not a remake.
Fuck though, I gotta rewatch the originals sometimes. Especially for the trip which was the ending of Beneath the Planet of the Apes.
Still disappointed that they got rid of Franco
was he supposed to be in the sequel?

The Johnny Depp Paycheck Machine keeps on rolling.
To be fair, those undead pirates look pretty cool
I always liked Pirates for the visuals. The movies themselves range from good to meh but god damn it they know how to push my buttons when it comes to doing cool shit
Looks already better than On Stranger Tides.
I haven't seen one I don't like

Maybe David Ayer's extended cut won't suck?
Note how it says Extended, not Directors. If this is anything I expect it to just be the theatrical cut with new scenes shoved in as opposed to a complete recut/Ayers original cut

Apparently it's only 13 minutes longer so unless it is a complete recut I don't have too high hopes
Soon people will stop going to see DC movies in the theatre and just wait for the extended cut to come out.
It must suck for Ayer since his movies almost always have 1/3 of it cut out because no one wants to see three hour movies anymore. At least, I believe that was the case for Sabotage, Fury and Suicide Squad.
I'll see the extended cut if there's more Joker, but I'm not expecting the movie to be above a 4/10 unless the Joker scenes are randomly better than Ledger's, and I'm 100% sure they won't be. You can't take a 2/10 movie and turn it into a great one with an extra 13 minutes. Especially when the whole movie (notably the first half) is an editing nightmare.
Yeah, who the fuck thought turning over the editing to the marketing team was a good idea? How can anyone rationalize that?
From here on out DC will stick to what made them lots of money, which is Suicide Squad, which broke into the Top 50 highest grossing films, superseding the original Iron Man.

Really? Wow, that's actually pretty sad
It'd be cool if by the time the inevitable second Justice League movie comes out thet have the Suicide Squad and Justice League fighting together towards different goals. Before that though, DC/WB needs to get their shit together.
As for that poster for Logan, I'm hoping it's not implying that X-23 will be a child throughout the film.
They might have already passed the point of no return. Their house style is a dark contrast to Marvel's style despite trying to replicate the spectacle of Marvel's movies. I remember explaining this to all my friends who wondered why they're such a clusterfuck; Marvel took about six movies before they destroyed a city (this case, New York in The Avengers). They took their time and built everything up to it. DC started off their big franchise with destroying Metropolis, and they did it again with Gotham in BvS (I'm guessing, since I've only seen trailers) and they probably did it again in Suicide Squad. They're writing checks they can't cash. They've blown their wad. They fucked up and they've realized that they fucked up but they don't want to admit it.
From what I remember from BvS is that they sectioned off the end fight in an abandoned section of Gotham, with Batman even saying "There are no civilians here to harm". In some interview Snyder said that this was in direct response to the destruction of Metropolis in MoS.

They better not keep this double dipping shit up with Wonder Woman or Justice League. Just release the full thing the first time!

not every film has a large percentage of reshoots.
Tonight I went to a Q&A with Greg Sestero and he showed the audience a trailer for an upcoming film that he's written and starring in. It's yet to be officially announced, he just wanted to see our reactions. I don't want to spoil the surprise so I'll just say that it's a dark comedy. Looks great, I'm excited to see it.
did they replace lance reddick? that would be shit
