From what I remember from BvS is that they sectioned off the end fight in an abandoned section of Gotham, with Batman even saying "There are no civilians here to harm". In some interview Snyder said that this was in direct response to the destruction of Metropolis in MoS.
He actually looks straight into the camera as he says this, then smiles and gives a wink and a thumbs up to the audience. I really don't know why people don't talk about this scene, the shot stays on him for 12 minutes straight
Films need to make a shitload of money in the box office before it can get an extended cut.
Not true. They can be a way to claw more money back.

Exactly, with the last two DC movies the film was shot and an edit was complete and shown in some advanced screenings and people enjoyed them. Then the studio jumped in and cut out a bunch of crucial scenes and butchered the pacing. The movie is released to massive critical panning but still makes a bunch of money because Batman. Then when people stop talking about it they release the uncut version and make a bunch more money on the cut they should have released to begin with. I really hope they stop this trend of selling us on a complete movie, putting 2/3 of it into theaters, then selling us the whole movie months later on video.
Really excited for that. The cast looks incredible; I can't think of any other TV show that has snowballed in scale & quality as much as Black Mirror has, especially one as small.

These movies based on real life disasters are coming out sooner and sooner after the event. Makes you wonder how soon the wheels are put in motion.
Some interesting horror movies

making money on real life tragic events has always sickened me for some reason.

Schindler's List. Saving Private Ryan. The Pianist. Literally every fucking war movie. Titanic. The list goes on. You've got to get sick a lot.

I think it's more Peter Berg wants to make movies that instill some American pride by showing regular American joes in shitty situations surviving against all odds. He's even got a TV show on Nat Geo that's all about US soldiers surviving tough situations (POW camps, firefights, being behind enemy lines, etc). I'm more convinced he's doing it for the patriotism rather than straight up greed.
Sony Pictures Animation has added James Corden and Broad City‘s Ilana Glazer to Emojimovie: Express Yourself, its summer 2017 pic that “reveals the Secret World inside your smartphone.” They join the previously set T.J. Miller in the lead voice cast.
Anthony Leondis is directing the story that takes place in Textopolis, a bustling city where all your favorite emojis live, hoping to be selected by the phone’s user. In this world, each emoji has only one facial expression — except for Gene (Miller), who was born without a filter. Determined to become “normal,” he enlists the help of his handy best friend Hi-5 (Corden) and the notorious Jailbreak (Glazer). Together, they embark on an epic “app-venture” to find the code that will fix Gene. But when a greater danger threatens the phone, the fate of all emojis depends on these three unlikely friends who must save their world before it’s deleted forever.
Is that a fucking PIECE OF SHIT in the right bottom corner?!

From the green screen at the beginning I'm thinking we're looking at an early cut of the Dark Tower trailer.

Fuck, it looks good. Kind of an ironic song choice, since Roland was originally stated to have blue eyes when Idris's eyes are brown.
Other than that, I like that there's going to be low men in yellow coats. I wonder if they're going to keep the part with the slow mutants.

I saw Evolution. It's interesting but I can't say I loved it. Very cool atmospheric movie, but it lacks a rational skeleton or narrative. And it's too art-film for me, but even then - pretty neat.
Also, when I saw it the director was there and spoke about it. She seemed very cool, but she was speaking in English which wasn't her strong suit. She had some fun stories about the child actors and how they approached making a movie like this.
[sp]Has some very cool Lovecraftian elements, and the use of birth imagery is pretty unnerving.[/sp]
