As a big fan of the original films, I'm liking the direction the reboots are going. My only complaint, actually not even a complaint is that I was hoping the third film would take place in the far future long after Ape society had been established and would involve the astronaunts from the missing shuttle that was teased in Rise. But apparently a fourth film was confirmed this October so I'm guessing that'll be it. IT'S A MADHOUSE!!! 2.0
This is going to be a good sci-fi year for me personally. Ghost in the Shell in March (I'm hopeful okay?) Alien in May and then Apes in July. Noice.

More likely it's Harry Styles or the other kid that plays the "lead" (apparently there's no singular lead, as in there are three/four intersecting plotlines like in Inglourious Basterds)
My first hunch was Tom Hardy due to short build and hairdo, but he plays [sp]a pilot, so the coat is all wrong[/sp]

Fuck his eyes are even purple. Mind control doesnt get more obvious than "eye color changes drastically for no reason".

I was severely disappointed after seeing the first one. I later came back and kinda enjoyed it as a generic action movie, but in my opinion the series plummeted and ruined my hopes for a real Transformers movie.
I wish they would make a movie as fun an entertaining as the G1 Transformers movie. (You know, except for killing off all of the original cast in the first 10-20 minutes)
After the second movie basically putting me to sleep, I have no idea how they kept going. Like, the second one is an hour and a half too long, and it's legitimately the most boring, nonsensical action movie I've ever seen

It's one of very few movies (the next two fit that to a lesser degree as well) where "action scenes" can be described as "cgi seizure".
It was one giant clusterfuck of a movie that forever doomed the movie franchise with its success.

If I wasn't seeing that movie with a large group of friends then it would have been the first and only movie I walked out of.

The soundtracks are good to listen to, though. Some of them have really good melodies. The soundtrack of the second one was bad, but Jablonsky improved a lot for 3 and 4.
