Wow that is Macbeth 2015 levels of orange color palette, it looks incredible
I had my faith in Villeneuve that he would be able to put his own spin on this series. But even in my deepest hopes I haven't dare to predict that he will be able to completely transcend and recreate Ridley Scott's ambience. I'm sold, as in going to see as soon as possible no matter what others say sold.
Early reviews have started coming in for the Assassins Creed movie https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/assassins_creed surprise, they're really bad
But.. but there was a 10/10 rating on IMDB boards by someone who didn't even see the movie! Seriously though, this is very disappointing. I had some hopes for it..

I wish Blomkamp's Alien was first, not Scott's. Ridley Scott is not exactly known for good movies these days.

Scott made Prometheus.
The trailer you've been waiting a lifetime for the wrong reasons.
...Atleast they seem self aware that nobody would ever want this movie?
Blomkamp has an advantage of never screwing up an Alien movie before. Scott made Prometheus.
it wasnt the direction that made Prometheus shit

It is unadulterated bullshit. Scott wanted A No aliens, at all, ever, only implications until the chesbursting of the Space Jockey in the third movie. B is the man who had the final say on editing and pace. Lindelof did what he was told to do, and while he's not the world's best writer, everything he did was done at Scott's behest, just like Fox insisting on Jeunet on directing a movie he did not give five fucks about and it shows. There's plenty blame to go around.
boy its been a long time since we've had another image from Alien Covenant. here's another one that just came out
i hope they dont try to just do another ripley
I can live with that, as long as her name isn't Ripley like the leak suggested
mmmmmmmmmmmmore alien pics
So they shrink down, and go inside the Alien this time?

The design is quite tired and started to lose its scare factor long before we saw a Predator grab it by the tail and twat it into concrete columns. I don't blame Scott for wanting to try something new, and it seems like the only reason aliens are back is because he's not in charge and they sell better. Even now he seems to be trying fresh ideas with [sp]new alien variants,[/sp] hopefully it turns out well.
Time for yet another attempt at making a dune movie... But this time with Dennis Villeneuve in the director chair http://variety.com/2016/film/news/denis-villeneuve-dune-reboot-legendary-pictures-1201929280/
Sources tell Variety that Villeneuve is in early talks to direct Legendary’s “Dune” reboot for the company. Legendary has not commented on the news.
Fuck yesss
Villeneuve should just direct everything from now on.
I dunno but I have this strong feeling that it's gonna be a sort of soft reboot. I sure hope not.
