Reminds me of Ex Machina
Reminds me of Ex Machina
Same studio.
Same studio Ex Machina came from if that means anything. [editline]15th January 2017[/editline] I gotta learn to refresh pages before hitting post.

gives me time to catch up so i'm not too mad about it.
Some photos from The Mist tv series:
“It’s the same but it’s different,” Christian Torpe said on a Television Critics Association 2017 winter press tour panel for his new show. “Like a weird, twisted cousin to the original source material. Fans of the movie and of the book and Mr. King’s work will certainly see elements from it, and especially if you watch the season in macro perspective there’s plenty of parallel. We also, in order to develop it for TV and to turn it into an ongoing series, took our own little detours here and there. Let’s call it a parallel story or a cousin to the original one.”
I'm kind of excited, but at the same time, there are some worrying statements:
As for the actual mist itself, Torpe has updated the visuals and the powers of the mist to distinguish this story from the previous versions. More than the literal mist, The Mist is a show about fear.
If this ends up being like Under the Dome where they say the dome is "trying to tell us something," I'm going to be pissed. i had no idea they were turning the mist into a show, or i just forgot.
Why would they change the source material? There's no way they're not going to fuck this up.
Why do so many good King stories get butchered down when it comes to adaptions.
Because Frank Darabont and Rob Reiner can only do so much.
The Mist is one of my favorite movies (I'm a sucker for the supernatural/sci-fi survival genre, Spielberg's War of the Worlds is up there for me too). SO here's to hoping they don't absolutely butcher it.
Speaking of ill-advised TV shows [t]https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/M/MV5BMTU0MTQxNDk1Ml5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTgwMjY4MzUxMTI@._V1_SY1000_CR0,0,674,1000_AL_.jpg[/t] And yeah, it's supposed to be an adaptation of the movie.
i expect a cheap, TV-fied version of snatch that tries to emulate guy ritchie for maybe 3 scenes per episode but gets lazy (or doesn't have the time/budget, because you can't always blame the makers in this industry) and bland for most of the time hoping to be surprised. not enough hope to bother with it much
that's what they did with lethal weapon. it's so terrible and ridiculous. and the lead actors are older than their filmic counterparts were at the time. how is that a reboot???
that's what they did with lethal weapon. it's so terrible and ridiculous. and the lead actors are older than their filmic counterparts were at the time. how is that a reboot???
It seems like it's supposed to be a completely new set of characters so it seems like it might just be some kind of attempt at doing a similar story but with a different set of characters. I guess there's no way to know whether it'll be good or not until we see a trailer or something. Old movie to TV show conversions have worked a few times in the past.

Why Patrick why? You're better than this shit!
Some interesting news: James Cameron and Tim Miller want to re-reboot and "conclude" The Terminator franchise. He's getting the rights back in 2019, and he wants to do one last movie for the franchise. I'm going to be cautiously optimistic, since all the films past T2 sucked but at least Tim Miller is a competent action director
For fuck sake it already concluded with Terminator 2, just let this shit die.
I thought james wanted to work on avatar sequels for the rest of his life
I thought james wanted to work on avatar sequels for the rest of his life
Avatar/Terminator crossover here we go
He didn't further announce two new Avatar sequels? I'm so disappointed.
For fuck sake it already concluded with Terminator 2, just let this shit die.
The only thing that could make me like it is if they made it like the future scenes from the first two. I'm willing to bet that they will be nothing like that.
From Walter Hill, producer of Alien and director on a few other films. The hitman now a hitwoman sets out for revenge, aided by a nurse named Johnnie who also has secrets.
Far as I can tell this got a limited release in Canada already. Anyone heard of it?
Supposedly half of the fifth season of Arrested Development might take place in flashback form with younger actors. The reason being it's hard enough to get the main cast together to film with their busy schedules and they want to avoid having single character focused episodes like they did in season 4.
He didn't further announce two new Avatar sequels? I'm so disappointed.
Not two - at least three, with going as much as four sequels. Shot consecutively.

Season 4 was just kinda ass. They took every character into weird, terrible places that I just didn't care.
Ben Affleck will not be directing The Batman.
“Performing this role demands focus, passion and the very best performance I can give. It has become clear that I cannot do both jobs to the level they require. Together with the studio, I have decided to find a partner in a director who will collaborate with me on this massive film. I am still in this, and we are making it, but we are currently looking for a director. I remain extremely committed to this project, and look forward to bringing this to life for fans around the world.”
The hopes of a good DCEU movie are going rapidly down the tubes
