I gotta give props to the divas matchup cause i might be the only one to says this probably gonna get some cardboard boxes for this but. I think it was the best divas match i have seen in a long time story wise and wrestling wise sure it wasnt perfect but it sure as hell was better then a kelly kelly matchup.

I think it might be his last run, the speech seemed to genuinely be his goodbye but he just did it a few weeks before his in ring time is over. I do know Mark is a emotional guy and writes his own poetry. Watching this the other day made me fall for this so much more just because he was crying.

Nope, stopped watching shortly after Hogan showed up. He ruined any potential TNA had.
For 11 years I avoided shoot style matches thinking they were too far away from pro wrestling that I would hate them.
OH BOY I WAS WRONG!
Watched the Vader Vs Takada series yesterday. This is how you make a 15-20 minute match feel like the biggest deal ever, the ring intros with legends, the reading of the rules and the historic title, the
backstage interviews, the camera work, the warm ups and entrances. That is all before the bell is rung, the WWE could take some aspects of this to make things epic instead of repeated hype videos.
Onto the matches, I wont go into spoilers but don't let the length scare you, every second adds to building up the affair and the two wrestlers.
We have Vader who is WCW champion at the time of the first match, he has run roughshot over people like Sting and Hogan and has decimated New Japan so his credibility in japan is off the charts, he is basically unbeatable.
Then we have Takada, the master of shoot style quasi-MMA with some of the nicest and hardest strikes I have ever seen.
Takada had won Lou Thesz's old World Title from the 40's (that Thesz had gifted to UWFI as their main title) and this is his first real test. Now shootstyle can end any second with a knockout or submission so expect quick rope breaks and lots of downs (when someone is knocked down they have 10 seconds to get up, like boxing) but these guys make the rules work perfectly. With each match taking aspects from the one before and the over arching story being Takada is the ace of UWFI and Vader is the invader who is nigh unstoppable.
I say give it a watch, all 3 matches are four stars easily. Lots of OH SHIT moments and a massive surprise in one match.

I sure hope WWE 2K14 doesn't have a broken as hell universe mode, so stories and cutscenes aren't purposely turned off on PPVs. And that the stories actually fucking start I went through like an entire year in WWE '13 without any stories. All custom wrestlers though so I dunno.
Still, shit, SvR2011 does everything like that, and it looks just about the same.

A bigish loss for the smaller indies that relied on older guys. Plus from all accounts he was a stand up guy that helped younger guys quite a bit.
Jackie Fargo also passed away last week. Hhe was an absolute legend who launched Jerry Lawler's career and was a mainstay in Memphis.
