It's going to be good in the long run. Orton being the corporate champion will be a nice change in direction for the WWE, especially having the McMahons heel again.

Yeah the rest of the year is gearing up to be great thanks to Cena and Sheamus being out, not because they suck (they don't) but because they have to change things up. Daniel Bryan's gonna go on a tear from now until the rumble with Randy, I reckon the inevitable Triple H/Bryan match will be surprisingly great, Trips always does well with little technicians.

I'm a huge Cena mark but you're right, it's going to force them to make changes which will better the company for the future.
Also, I miss Eddie like crazy, I remember when he passed I must have been like 11 in 2005 and I bawled my eyes out. I was lucky enough to see him perform in person at a house show against Lesnar.

No, it was a try out type deal back when they started phasing out squash matches with local guys. The WCW buyout happened and they couldn't take people on and Bryan wanted to travel the world. Chris Daniels and Samoa Joe had some tryouts, AJ Styles had some matches in WCW right at the death.

Everyone moved to the thread in general discussion. That thread is full of attitude era worshipers and it's almost impossible to talk to those kind of fans about today's wrestling, so I try not to use it much.

I think so too and it's really weird. WWE hasn't really been good since around 2009. I'm not used to WWE pulling off good shows week after week.
Jim Ross has retired from the WWE, sounds like he is going independent so he might do spots here and there but not too much from him.
Apparently it's because of the fallout from the WWE 2k14 Q&A debacle where he didn't stop Ric Flair talking about his dead son (Reid Flair).
His last appearance is on the Mid South DVD/Blu Ray.

Man, that was when King still had a passion for wrestling. The second JR left he became this generic commentator who reads the script word for word. I think it's time for a new set of commentators. Maybe keep Cole he still loves doing it.

I really feel like one day Ric Flair is just gonna lose it and snap like Chris Benoit did
I can just imagine during a live PPV show, he just comes out with a shotgun and just starts shooting it into the crowd before they quickly cut the broadcast

He was drunk and was telling stories that included how he got John Cena to start drinking (Which pissed the WWE off as they want Cena's image to be clean) and he brought up TNA a little and basically ignored the game.
There was a very touching story about how he put his Hall Of Fame ring on his sons casket at his funeral and Triple H had a new one made for Ric with his dead sons name on it.
Basically he was fun and had great stories but you knew it would cause a problem despite the 2K people enjoying it.
I think the thing that sealed it was Stephanie McMahon came out and apologized to the crowd after.

Jesus christ, you could just tell JR was getting mad with his sarcastic remarks. Flair really messed up. It was still pretty funny though, but understandable why WWE got so mad.
