Man, I love this show but comparing to, say Daredevil, it really doesn't hold up. A big problem for me is the mood. Gotham seems very confused, it doesn't know when it wants to be silly or serious. The writing is pretty weak and there are some major acting chops (Most notably with Theo). I love the idea of a show but it's execution doesn't really hold up. I'd love to see them take a break after season 2 and maybe get some stronger writers on board.
nathan darrow is going to be mr. freeze on gotham http://tvline.com/2015/10/28/gotham-mr-freeze-cast-nathan-darrow-season-2/?sf14629463=1 his character will come into the show nov 30 here's the thing, the pilot was awful and i have no real interest in this show apart from seeing what they do with my favorite batman villain should i bother watching the show to get caught up or just wait for the freeze episodes?
I'd say give it a watch. It's not the smartest show ever but I like most of the actors, and the presentation is good. Speaking of good, season 2 episode 7 really did my favorite character well. Nygma's been getting a lot of screen time, and a lot of great scenes. Can't say I'm looking forward to ep 8 though. Not much of a Barbara fan.
Few episodes are getting quite gory too
Is it less Monster-of-the-week now? And how forced are the BATMAN VILLAINS WOW?
Is it less Monster-of-the-week now? And how forced are the BATMAN VILLAINS WOW?
It still has monster of the week. Well sort of. You get little arcs with some of the bigger named Batman baddies. [sp]Like Firefly had a little arc that unfolded over 3 episodes[/sp] The main ones (Nygma, Penguin, etc.) aren't all that forced in my opinion. I'm currently not a fan of the "main" villain, Theo, but I can confidently say that the show has improved.
late as fuck but holy shit falcone is Caesar.
Well just as I guessed 02x08 was very clumsy, a serious step down from episode 7. It's sad to see this show go from okay to bad every other week. Episode 9 promises to be more interesting though, judging by the promo. [sp]I'm hoping they give Theo a better send-off. They should do a court scene, get Dent involved or have him go full Azrael on Gotham.[/sp]
AHHHH VICTOR FRIES IS COMING SOON AGAHGHAGHAHGAHGHAHGHGHAHGA I CANNOT WAIT ANTICIPATION KILLING ME
Damn, the mid season finally sucked. There were some good parts but for the most part I was just constantly going "what the hell?" [sp]I'm also so glad Theo is finally gone, guy's acting made my sides leave my body in the finale[/sp] Also Victor looks kind of dumb in the promo, the whole "killer ski instructor" look isn't doing anything for me. Really I just hope this show gets some better writers.
[sp]Fish scooping her eye out holy fucking shit[/sp]
so today's the mr. freeze episode. i like the guy they picked, and since this is his origin episode, he's not all blue yet, but has the freeze gun. the dialogue is pretty bad, who the fuck writes this? this show sucks, good thing i don't normally watch it.
"ill be back" obvious arnie reference
God its about time this show came on, I missed it so badly. Good casting on Hugo, this should be interesting. Same with Victor. I'm really looking forward to this season.
Man, I feel really torn. I agree with both Pops and Syntax at the same time. The show's writing is pretty horrid but at the same time I'm just so excited for each new episode. I love the actors [sp]BD Wong as Strange was really nice[/sp], I like the set design, the lighting, but good grief is the show poorly written. Could we please PLEASE get someone ells to write? This show could be bad ass if it wasn't so fucking stupid. For instance, [sp]the initial Arkham Asylum scene in the newest episode made me want to kill myself. It was anoying, not funny and just plain lame. Why do you reduce serious characters and cool environments into fucking jokes?[/sp]

He had everything, and now he's lost everything. He'll come back in a couple of episodes but the idea was that he played the crazy card, and yeah it kept him from prison but now he's in a different prison with a crowd that doesn't fear him in the slightest.[/sp] I agree though that the writing could be a... tad... better...
Hey! Newest episode wasn't too bad imo. I have mixed feelings with them straying from the original source material with the villains but this episode was pretty decent. [sp]The Penguin and Gordon relationship is getting kinda intense, I love it.[/sp]
[sp] The latest episode wrapped up Mr.Freeze nicely. Although I'm sure his story is far from over (obviously). Also, is Hugo Strange the next main antagonist, or what?[/sp] Overall great episode with a good mix of action and character development. :hypeisreal::hypeisreal::hypeisreal:
[sp]Good job spoiling Fish's return in the fucking beginning credits[/sp]
