I just thought while watching this, has any zombie apocalypse story ever shown the apocalypse actually overcome? Society being rebuilt on top of the survivor's world?
Funny you should mention, the comic is actually headed that way right now. Very minor comic spoils [sp]quite a few years have gone by since the apocalypse and now communities of people are popping up everywhere. Zombies have become a minor problem for some of them.[/sp]

I couldn't read far in to the comic because I'm just not used to comic books at all, but this sounds interesting enough to make me brave through the format.
Fuck I just had a thought, [sp]Now that they're all split up, what if Tyreese meets up with Carol somewhere along the road and doesn't know anything because Rick didn't get the chance to tell him? Then when they finally meet up Rick is all like "Well this is awkward".[/sp]
And now dear children, we take a minute to remember dear old Dale who [sp]died 26 episodes ago.[/sp]

Dale and Hershel, the wise old philosophers of TWD. Their teachings guide the group onwards.
I'm sorry but that episode just frustrated me far too much. There were just too many things in it that bugged me. Some of these may have been mentioned before, if so I am sorry.
1. [sp]Those in the tank couldn't shoot for shit. Granted only one of them was actually in the military so he knew what he was doing, but they were able to shoot the guard tower in one try to get the prisons attention but the rest of their shots hit nowhere close to Rick's group. They could've easily hit the bus or that small shack? that most of them were hiding behind, both looked to be bigger targets than that initial guard tower. They were told to kill everyone yet didn't do shit.[/sp]
2. [sp]The Governor and his men completely forgetting about Rick behind the overturned bus. I just didn't like that not a single one of them couldn't remember that there was someone behind the bus that they were 15 feet from not a few minutes earlier. Especially the Governor not remembering.[/sp]
3. [sp]That little girl that we've never seen shoot before getting that woman right in the head like she's done it a thousand times.[/sp]
4 [sp] Apparently bullets cannot his Daryl.[/sp]
All in all, I really didn't enjoy that episode.

I know, I know, parody accounts
For real? How does that even work?
Well you see, first you move your hand backwards, then you very swiftly thrust it in a forwards direction. :)

Also when was [sp]Morgan going to return[/sp]? He's gonna be in Season 4 according to Scott Gimple.

28 Weeks Later, up to you to decide if you count the infected people as zombies.

Also world war Z to an extent.

Didn't the "rebuilt society" in that instantly collapse and take the rest of the world down with it?
Didn't the "rebuilt society" in that instantly collapse and take the rest of the world down with it?
We don't really know about the latter but otherwise yes you are right, though it wasnt instantly wiped out, they had to devise a fucking stupid contrived plot to do it when kids turned up.

Only one I can think of is Shawn of the Dead

I definitely recommend it. Like you I didn't want to read it because I don't really read comic books, but I gave it a go and the walking dead is now the only comic book series I read, and I read every new issue on the day it comes out, mostly because it stretches from almost inital apocalypse, to post apocalypse, to post post apocalypse and will probably continue to go on until ricks group or a group ricks apart of eventually reform society.

1: I personally think that Mitch was more like "Fuck it, lets blow some shit up!" and was just having sick fun more then anything.
2: I sort of agree, but hell it didn't bother me.
3: I was personally more approving of that scene, it really said something to me about how these people will need to grow up in their world.
4: It was bad ass as hell tbh, I was glad that he got the kill shot on the [sp]tank and its driver[/sp]
Not many people are talking about this but [sp]Judith's death is very underwhelming and "let go" like there was an actual other ending to her, like she actually got away. I think she was saved as the girls ran the other way; I think they went to get her.[/sp]
What do you guys think?

The fact they didn't show anything means she's still alive.
They always do that.

Maybe. But her being on the road with Daryl is going to make her character become something potentially amazing!
Also, as for the Daryl thing.

Ridiculous, I like Daryl as much as everyone else, but he should be dead, dead as fuck.
When I watched that I jumped out of my seat doing the M. Bison 'Yes', because the producers would've finally grown a pair
Words could not describe my disappointment and dismay upon the next scene

Well they said, and it seemed pretty obvious that the bigger your character is, the more gruesome your death.
Him getting bit by a walker would suck, if he dies, it needs to be brutal.
I think it would actually be kind of ironic considering how big of a survivalist he is and how effective he's been at killing the walkers so far, getting killed by one that you weren't perceptive enough to see would be great imo

Just look at (comic spoilers) [sp]Dale and Abraham, their deaths were so simple and quick.[/sp]
I might have said this before but I never liked this scene because of how it's acted.

Add in the "oooh noo" and it just sounds like Rick is mocking Carl. It's just weird v:v:v
