What was even the point in posting that?
What was even the point in posting that?
The same reason people post photoshops, Spaghetti Tuesday jokes, and captioned pictures of Dale making funny faces? Honestly, I didn't think it was that difficult a concept to grasp. . .but then, it is you asking.
Latest episode spoilers. Yay finally [sp] The fucking Governor is dead. That piece of shit made me so angry. But Herschel too :( [/sp]
This was probably my favorite comic comparison in the entire episode, only I felt it was a hell of lot better in the show then in the comic. Although both instances were very powerful. SPOILS FOR MID SEASON http://i.imgur.com/OglVNQB.jpg

I don't always read the walking dead comics. But when I do, I do it in 24 hour sittings.
I don't get why everyone hates The Governor. I think he was an incredibly kick-ass characters, comics and TV show; possibly even more-so in the show due to Morrissey's incredible acting talent. Just the thought that half of the show's best actors are English yet do perfect southern Georgia characters is astonishing to me.
People hate the governor? My only complaint was that 2 seasons of him felt a little drawn out but his ending was as well executed as we could've hoped for

He's done tons of bad and is easily hate-able. I think most people love his character and Morrissey's acting, despite how much shit his character does.

Only thing I didn't like about Gov was his oddly placed super human strength that no one else seemed to have. [sp]Bites off two of Merle's Fingers Kill zombies with bare hands Beat rick in a fight and almost strangle him.[/sp]
Biting fingers off isn't that hard apparently
This was the most epic episode since the beggining of the show. I especially liked the part where [sp]Rick was doing his speech, everybody is letting their guns down,I think yay half-happy ending! Then epic moment: Gov: Liar. SLASH.[/sp] It was so awesome. Can we have more episodes like this one pretty please? Also I want [sp]Morgan and Tyreese[/sp] to team up. Black man power.

Rick did have one messed up hand still, and his leg was shot. That was pretty good from being overpowered on his part. [/sp]

Not sure if that's true or not, but I found it funny. When that one scene in the pit happened, I instantly thought of this scene from Game of Thrones (spoilers I guess)
well we got a toned down governor, if they do get to that point we'll probably see a toned down negan
I know that a lot of people are expecting Negan later on in the TV show, but I honestly don't think they could make him that much like his comic book counterpart. Pretty much everything he says is extremely vulgar and over the top and could never be said on television unless it's HBO or something.
It would be pretty hilarious if he was just censored and every other word was cut out whenever he talked. :v:
this time negan's got a potty mouth.. he constantly says heck and dang! cover your ears children, this show is pg-13!!
It dawns on me now that they hardly swear in the show, I sort of like that for some reason.

Realistically Merle would probably have sliced the governor in two pretty easily, the guy's pretty muscular.[/sp]
Also, http://i.imgur.com/O5eFgeS.jpg Negan, everybody.
It dawns on me now that they hardly swear in the show, I sort of like that for some reason.
I wouldn't say they "hardly" swear. They've used everything from "shit" to "nigger", but I do like that the swearing isn't constant. That's part of the reason I hope they add Negan in in the future. He's a great character, but Kirkman definitely went overboard with his 'Tourette-dialogue' in the comics. Seeing Negan's character minus his endless (and kind of annoying) f-bombs will be interesting.

Seeing Negan's character minus his endless (and kind of annoying) f-bombs will be interesting.
Yeah, Negan's dialogue does get a bit ridiculous sometimes in the comic. There are some bits when he's meant to be really pissed off or stressed and it just makes it comedic almost the stupid swear word combinations he says. I find it hard to get into his character. It's like they keep going back and forth on deciding if he should be serious or not, that's what I get out of it anyway.
I sort of feel sympathy for Negan as it seems he has really good intentions and wants to rebuild the whole world, it was very cool how he stopped (COMIC SPOILS START HERE) [sp]Holly from getting raped. [/sp] I'm starting to think of Rick as more of the instigator at this point in the comic.
Negan has good intentions but horrible, horrible ways of carrying out those intentions. While I'd say he's definitely got mental issues and has good ideas to rebuild the world, he's even more of a murdering psychopath than The Governor, to some extent. He seems to think murder and torture of those in his way is amusing or pleasurable, making him far from a 'likeable' character, in my opinion.

That was kinda unrealistic.
