I really hope that comic spoilers [sp] Rick isn't going to die. I feel like TWD is about him. I guess it's a crazy way to end his story, but I just don't see TWD being TWD without Rick's group. I was hoping maybe issue 127 being titled as "A New Beginning" means that maybe they start with just a few people left. But the cover issue shows a whole new group so it might actually be a new story. but idk if I can continue reading if it's not Rick's story (or Carl's) [/sp]
[sp] It was said in the end of Issue 123 that Issue 124 will "get more into that arrow thing that's sticking out of Rick", and "it's going to be unthinkable". [/sp] from the wiki
[sp] Earlier in the letter hacks someone mentioned them using 'unthinkable' to describe some things that were pretty predictable, so I think this tease at the end of the letterhacks was a joke at that letter, rather than anything too significant. Just a guess. [/sp]
Comic Spoilers [sp]Well with every single Asian major character to date dying, a whopping two people Glenn and Kal, this marks a new dawn. Hopefully new Asian girl will not die. Also like yeah, I'm thinkin' that everyone important is gonna die, since Negan's not messing around and him actually winning out be one hell of a shocker considering how much the survivors have been through.[/sp] Show Spoilers [sp]What if Daryl kills Abraham by accident thinking he's keeping Glenn captive?[/sp]
comic [sp]Kal's death made me laugh pretty hard[/sp] dont click this if you don't want a minor character death from 123 spoiled [editline]12th March 2014[/editline]
[sp] Earlier in the letter hacks someone mentioned them using 'unthinkable' to describe some things that were pretty predictable, so I think this tease at the end of the letterhacks was a joke at that letter, rather than anything too significant. I don't like issue 128's cover with what it and 127 may be implying.
I don't think EVERYONE will die, kirkman's too smart to do that
Show Spoilers [sp]What if Daryl kills Abraham by accident thinking he's keeping Glenn captive?[/sp]
I doubt it. They wouldn't just off a new character like that. Even if they did, why Daryl? He's caught up with his own thing right now. I could see it being Rick or even Maggie, but not Daryl.
I hope not. If only three or four people survive I'll be fine, I just want someone from the original group to come out OK.
rick and/or carl will probably survive.. i hope

It would be RETARDED to kill him off that soon in the show[/sp]
[sp]abe's death in the comics only worked because he reached his maximum potential as a character. Like Abe's death would make Eugene tell the truth and tell them there's nothing up there and split the story into a completely different tangent circumventing Negan in it's entirety.[/sp]
[sp]But what about Dale's death? That was way earlier too, it could mix it up. I'm glad they got rid of him earlier. I think episode 15 is going to focus on mostly Beth and Daryl by the title descriptions. With the ending having Daryl's group find Rick. Which leads to the episode 16 description.
I should probably start reading the comics.
Comics > TV show
That said, the show is interesting as it explores some what-if situations as it diverges from the comics. I'm kinda glad they don't religiously follow them. Anyone who doesn't read the comics but is kind of interested, I recommend picking up the compendiums from amazon.
I think it's pretty obvious (comic spoilers) [sp]Dwight shot Rick with a clean bolt, some time before you can see Negan crushing the head of a man while Dwight just shot another in the shoulder, I think he doesn't want to kill anyone from Rick's group and is just shooting to appear loyal to Negan (although I can't think of a reason why he didn't shoot that psycho yet, specially since they were alone at the end). But yeah Marcus is definitely going to cause havok at the mansion and shit's gonna go down. Also about the theories that Rick may die, I think it's possible. Earl (?) making a replacement hand for him could be interpreted as false hope for the reader (well maybe the blacksmith dies anyway). But Rick is not done yet, it would be the lamest death ever. [/sp]

[/sp]
[sp]Dwight is pretty clearly trying to stay between sides to wait to see which one is the winning side before he commits. He may hope Rick and his people win but he's been around Negan long enough to know what he's capable of. If he kills Negan before the battle is over, the other saviors will probably fuck his world up. If he tries to kill Negan and fails, his world also is fucked the fuck up.[/sp]
how many eps do we have left?

Attack on Titan did this, and people praised it for how identical to the comics it was. I already read the comics, I don't want to watch them. I want to watch an adaptation.

Keeping Shane alive during Hershel's Farm was pretty a pretty cool idea, watching him evolve a bit slower as a character instead of just jumping to insane at the beginning.
The show just generally does villains much better than the comic, the Governor was an actual person in the show instead of a moustache-twirling force of evil like he was in the comic. I'm hoping they'll make Negan more interesting if the show gets to that point.
what the governor was a sick twisted piece of shit in the comics he fuckin twirled that stache all damn day with his ego boner in the tv show
I think he means we watched the gov develop on the TV show instead of seeing the psychopath he was immediately in the comics.
what the governor was a sick twisted piece of shit in the comics he fuckin twirled that stache all damn day with his ego boner in the tv show
well yeah, that's what his TV show character was all about, and he showed signs of being a once normal man corrupted by the horrible world the comic governor was just completely insane and degenerate. There was nothing interesting about him, he was 2 dimensional. Just Negan with a smaller army and less swearing.
meh, making him have two eyes instead of the eyepatch from the beginning isn't much char dev nor is fucking andrea he was already fucked up, zombie daughter and fish tank heads. penis.
Issue 126 cover who do you think [sp] Is holding lucille? Dwight? Rick? Carl? [/sp]
meh, making him have two eyes instead of the eyepatch from the beginning isn't much char dev nor is fucking andrea he was already fucked up, zombie daughter and fish tank heads. penis.
Uh he had two eyes to begin with in the comic too? He kept his dead daughter because he couldn't handle the fact that she was dead. Comic Governor kept her as a sex toy.
oh right i haven't read them in forever, i think i'll have to buy myself the compendiums to refresh my brain

I think anyone who enjoys the show should read the comics. You'll love to see the little differences of the characters between the show and comic.
