The link that goes to the specific page on acting-auditions.org won't work right now for some reason, but it's listed on the season 5 page on the wikia for walking dead, and I read the page personally and it says

Ratings are gathered, to set advertising rates, in Nov/Feb/May. This is why you'll always see new episodes of a series in one or more of those time periods.
In Walking Dead's case, if they start in Oct they can build ratings momentum into the critical Nov time period. Then break and come back for Feb. They don't do enough episodes to finish in May.

I can bet you right now that when you check the facebook page after it airs and it's true you will still find a lot of people surprised.
