So if [sp]Bob was bitten and they were eating infected meat, how is that any different from normal meat? The infection is in all of them already and they cooked the meat.[/sp]
[sp]It doesn't matter. He wasn't even turned/dead yet, so his body and flesh hadn't started rotting, making it okay to eat.
However, Bob may have been infected with some nasty disease from the zombie bite (that's what usually kills the victims: the infected wound) but considering they also cooked the meat, they should be fine. In theory. [/sp]
So, the zombie-virus/infection/whatever-it-is, it's the least of your concerns really because most have it anyway. It's the other diseases that get you first. :v:
I am 100% sure that [sp] a walker bite on the leg would make the infection 1000x worse and there's probably not much you can do to get the infection out once a walker bites it. To use a more real example, lets say that his leg was infected with ebola somehow. No matter how you cook it, there's probably something still in there, especially since they still don't know much about how the infection behaves. We're still learning new shit in the comics. [/sp]
Speaking of the comics, new issue came out today and [sp] holy shit, these disguised survivors are creepy. Not only are they wearing full-on flesh suits from roamers, but we know little to nothing about them. There could be 50 more or there could be 1000 more of them, and they don't fuck around. [/sp]
Also, the next issue that's coming out (in 3 weeks instead of a month) is apparently Robert Kirkman's favorite issue he's ever done. Pretty fucking excited.
comic:
[sp]happy to hear that the saviors are a functioning community under the leadership of dwight as well tbh[/sp]
No. It's not him. It is 100% most definitely not him.
1) We're wayyyyyy too far back
2) He had face tattoos
3) Kirkman already confirmed a few times that it wasn't him.
It's not him.
Plus he died so it's obvious it's not him. I don't know why people keep asking this.
comic issue #133 [sp] does anyone else feel that Rick is going to get killed off soon? to quote reddit:
"Unopened letter given
Long sincere, I Love You, between father and son.
Rick heading back with a lot of their patrols mia or captured.
Carl now officially set out on his own.
Andrea and Magna talking about how Rick is keeping everyone together in this new way of life."
It just seems like they are preparing to shift the leader focus onto someone else. That, and Rick's arc has been finished more or less.[/sp]

If I recall, the major part of being infected via Zombie is that they get into your blood stream. While everyone carries the zombie virus, I think its just all the other diseases they carry thanks to rotting that kills you.
[sp]The Hunters would probably be fine, seeing as he's not dead yet, and they cooked the meat pretty thoroughly. But if I was in their shoes I certainly wouldn't even take the chance.[/sp]

[sp]if it were to happen it would happen now I agree on that front. I don't particularly see it happening though. we'll see[/sp]
Issue 136 cover gives me the chills

[sp]cooking meat doesn't clean a virus out. also when food breaks down it gets into your blood stream. so yeah, there's a good possibility they would get infected.[/sp]
So I watched the first two episodes and it was great, especially the first.
I guess I missed a lot of discussion but was [sp]the rapist at the end of first episode you-know-who?[/sp]
He was the [sp]crazy guy that grabbed Glenn shouting "WE'RE THE SAME!" referencing who the terminus people have become / they eat flesh like walkers. Checked the wiki and it said they took out all the bandits and locked up the leader.[/sp]

That always made me wonder. In S3 E16 "Welcome to the tombs" [sp]Andrea was bitten by Milton not even 5 minutes after he reanimated. When the gang eventually found her she was already weak and had a fever. I was surprised he already had the other diseases that kill in him. My guess is that it was in his saliva, but still I don't know for sure.[/sp]

Hmm, good point. [sp]I think there is no explanation to that, unless someone can actually tell how fast bodies/zombies become infectious and full other harmful stuff?[/sp]
But wait a minute, considering when you're dead and turned, almost all your bodily functions are shut off (like the active immune system) except a really simple mind for attractions and blood, so that means you (the zombie) will get infectious really fast. Even AIDS patients have their immune system left, it's just not working properly. Zombies have no immune system to speak of.
I think it's to do with how severe the bite is.

Gotta remember its 5 mins TV time, for all we know they could have been in that room for 6 hours or more. So i wouldnt say it was instant infection.

[sp]Seeing those videos on people picking up pliers with their feet in 5 seconds after the episode aired, Andrea must be really shit for nearly half the night[/sp]
I'd like to point out some weird things in the last episode's ending.. which I believe were kinda dumb
First of all [sp]Bob freaked out about his missing leg only AFTER the guy talking to him started eating a chunk? ./yawn, like it took so long for Bob to figure it out.[/sp]
And 2nd [sp]"nothing personal" yet he's telling him how he tastes. I don't see a pack of wolves doin' much socializing with their prey, and that's what they're supposed to be? Pffft, get shot by Rick Grimes already.[/sp] :v:

Honestly, I find your both complaints kinda dumb.

Well, TWD is still the best (and perhaps the only?) zombie apocalypse-related TV series there is, so props for that. I like the zombie apocalypse.
But I'm just saying there are certain cliches and shitty over-dramatization sometimes (not that drama is bad) which is.. frustrating, to a viewer like myself.
[editline]25th October 2014[/editline]
Regarding [sp]Bob's[/sp] case, he didn't fully realize his situation (being eaten, leg missing) until the camera expanded its view and it was confirmed to the viewer.
That's when he freaked out, which frankly is fucking dumb, because [sp]Bob's[/sp] viewpoint and the Camera's viewpoint are not the same thing.
Also, has AMC released the future episode titles yet? The most current one is "Slabtown", but that's the episode right after this Sunday's.
Maybe they wanna avoid titles that are kinda spoiler-y?
there's some leaked info afaik all we know is up to 4 and then episode 7's title
[sp]the hunters storyline is definitely going to the midseason, considering it will encompass all of gabriel's secrets, whatever happened to beth, and now carol and daryl and bob's small adventures.[/sp]
I really want this to be over quick. Something that made it great in the comic's was that Rick's group literally gave no shits and went batshit on the hunters as soon as they could
Episode 7's entitled "Crossed", and that kinda scares me into thinking that they might [sp] draw out the hunters storyline. If it ends this Sunday, I will be SO fucking grateful that Scott Gimple doesn't wanna drag the show along as much as possible. [/sp]
legitimate spoiler do not click if you don't want a spoiler::
[sp]no it definitely ends this week[/sp]
I need to hurry up and read the rest of the comics. I've only gotten to Compendium 1, Compendium 2 and Book 9. Need to get the 3 remaining volumes an then whatever issues after that.
Yeah, the comics are currently going down a really amazing road to better things.
[editline]25th October 2014[/editline]
I'm beyond excited if that's true, but where did you hear that and how can you tell it's legit?
[sp]spoilthedead forums. I believe it because it was posted by the same source that has a track record of not being wrong.[/sp]
i really want to click on that spoiler but im trying my hardest not to. It's a future show spoiler, correct?

a confirmation of an event in tomorrow's episode
This might have already been mentioned, but I have a feeling [sp]Bob is going to die for the simple reason that they don't want to have to spend a good chunk of their budget digitally removing his left leg from all future episodes. Hershel was different because he was and old man and they usually had him sitting down (and not have the camera focus on his lef). Same reason Rick hasn't lost his hand yet and probably never will.[/sp]

I think Bobby Kirkman said every latest issue is his favorite he's ever done in that same quote :v:

You're forgetting that Hershel[sp]had his leg amputated right after he was bit[/sp]while hours have already passed since[sp]Bob was bit. I also think Bob was bit on his upper torso so amputation was out of the question unless it was on his hand or arm.[/sp]
No, it wasn't him.
The dude didn't look anything like him, the same guy died within the only episode he was seen in (the season premiere), and Kirkman even said it wasn't him.
I think Kirkman is a huge fan of his own work so every new issue that comes out is his most favorite issue he's ever done
I think the closest I've seen to it was issue 125 when he said it was ONE OF his favorite issues he's written, but he's comparing this shit to the issue when [sp] the prison got fucked up. [/sp]

[sp] Negan [/sp] died in the show?
No offense or anything, but when the hell did THIS happen? Was it just a character with the same name? I doubt they'd kill off such a big character without making a big deal about it at all. That'd be like killing off Rick and never mentioning it.
I obviously meant the dude that everyone is mistaking for Negan for some reason. If random dude which looks like Negan dies, then he is not Negan
