I want to know[sp]where the gov. was when Rick and co rescued Karen, got into Woodbury, and found Andrea.[/sp]
Spoilers for season 4: [sp]They find the Governor dead in a ditch because Hispanic guy and black guy shot him[/sp]
AM i the only one feeling unsatisfied with that ending? I expected a lot more dying...
[sp]Lots of us are disappointed. It feels like there should be one more episode for the season. We have no clue what the Governor is doing. No clue what Rick's group is doing. [/sp] And here I was thinking mid season finales were bad then they pull this. Sloppy sloppy.
That was disappointing
Damn Carl, you crazy.
This was definitely far better than Season 2. The Walking Dead is one of those shows where when it's good, it's really good. And when it's not so good, it's really disappointing because you've seen how good it can be.
[sp]I'm really disappointed that we had no cataclysmic battle for the prison. A few flashbangs and some random shooting and everybody runs away, only to be massacred by Governor Crazypants? Kind of a lame copout. Speaking of which, where the fuck did he go when he took off with his two remaining mooks who apparently don't recognize a Villainous Demotivator when they see one. He just gunned down all your friends and squaddies, assholes, don't just shut up and do what he says.
Also, after that whole irritating emotional subplot in Season 2, what ends up happening to Andrea? She fucking shoots herself anyway. Were they going for irony on that one?[/sp]
Eh, fuck it, even with those problems it's significantly ahead of Season 2.
Also, I can't devote much brain power to figuring it out, because Game of Thrones started today.
Okay here we go.
[sp] This episode wasn't disappointing to me because of the deep development of Carl, and that's to say the least. They did hype it up too much that's for sure. The transformation that Carl went through has been cemented this episode - going from an annoying prop that gets everyone killed, to someone acting on what he deems necessary to protect his family. I see a leader in Carl, I do. And the ending wasn't bad at all, I mean it shows that Andrea's death and Carl's homicidal ways got to Rick. He saved those people from tyranny, and in the process squashed the guilt that Lori represented. It showed that he wants to provide a better role model for Carl so he doesn't end up like the governor. When you get down to it Andrea, in all her retardery, proved to be useful if only slightly.
(In the way that Andrea did what she thought was right and failed. - "I just didn't want anyone to die.") [/sp] End
Edit - I also think that the name of this episode was just an ad ploy.
[sp]You know you fucked up when Andrea dies and the finale still sucks[/sp]
okay we get it
people dont like andria
please shut up about it
Spoilers for season 4: [sp]They find the Governor dead in a ditch because Hispanic guy and black guy shot him[/sp]
Spoilers for season 5: [sp]Black dude steals Michonnes piñata. Michonne guts him.[/sp]
Alls I'm gonna say is that I thought the comic's version was better. This was a great episode, but not the best of finales.
Tbh [sp] I don't think this season was really about Woodbury at all. I think it's about exploring Rick's continuous building guilt. When you look at it like that, this was indeed a season finally. [/sp]
AMC better not fuck Breaking Bad up like they fucked this up
That lady s talking about shipping on The talking Dead. This is it: the end of days.
[sp]Hershel Lives, and now he has thousands of old people friends![/sp]
Other than that, It was pretty disappointing.
oh my god I'm so mad
that season finale was dumb
[sp] lel prison fight is only 5 minutes because we don't have a budget oh and governor is boogeyman now[/sp]

I trust the writers of Breaking Bad. The show is almost over and they haven't fucked up expect maybe The Fly episode. The show just gets better and better unlike the roller coaster that is TWD.
[sp]the kid carl shot. He was the son of the woman Rick found...[/sp]
oh shit
[sp]The guy Carl shot - Jody
Her son - Noah (asthma dude)[/sp]
So fucking cringy.
I am a rapid shipper of most things I watch/play and even I know you shouldn't talk about that shit on TV.
PS: Last post from me for tonight.
While I'm a bit disappointed, I'm glad they didn't strictly abide to the comics. Kirkman just seems to try and make the most gory and edgy events possible.
[sp]Having Michonne get raped, Governor getting his penis nailed to a board, and a baby getting gibbed from a shotgun blast would just be too much. There's going for dramatic surprises, and then there's just going for pure shock value.[/sp]

Damn, dude, I should go read the comics now.
As usual, the adaptation is inferior to the original material. Comes with the territory of TV/film, I guess.
Even though Season 3 was better, Telltale's The Walking Dead still kicked the shit out of it for me.
[sp] I know you guys say it's not about the violence but they had been building up the prison fight for plenty of episodes and it was entirely underwhelming. The first prison fight when the Governer's crew ambushed them was a hell of a lot better. It's like they spent the whole budget on blowing up the two watch towers, which you could see intact later in the episode. [/sp]
[sp]It would've been better if the shotgun kid dropped his gun instead of looking super shady. Then Carl could've still shot him while rationalizing the the kid was an untrustworthy liability etc. Since the writers want us to be conflicted or disgusted it would've made more sense imo [/sp]

If they fuck up BrBa, I wasted an entire week sitting on my ass for nothing.
[sp]You know you fucked up when Andrea dies and the finale still sucks[/sp]
That was not a bad finale at all, it was a little lacking but that will change with Scott Gimple as the new writer. Mazarra wanted this to be a blood bath.
Gimple wrote the Morgan episode btw
hahaha bob the prophet

[sp]Hunter arc[/sp]
Eugene and co should show up next season and Rick should leave Tyreese at the prison to run things.
I kinda knew they weren't gonna [sp]kill off the Governor. He's the perfect villain for the TV show - and you don't kill off Voldemort in Book 3 do you? [/sp]

I hope we seen Negan soon. Fuck the gov.
Guys, maybe Karen will replace comic Andrea. She seems like a well grounded character.

At first it sounds like it would be more interesting, and it is for a bit, but then you just get sick of it. Kirkman relies almost entirely on shock value. He creates some disturbing stuff, then when people come to expect it, he creates stuff even worse to try and keep it shocking. It's become a cycle were he will introduce new characters just so he can kill them off later as horrifically as possible. If you want to know what I mean, click the spoiler. Just be warned, it's a pretty damn huge spoiler. I'm not exaggerating, it's actually really freaking big.
[SP]For the 100th issue, Kirkman decided to have his most shocking moment yet. It sounds interesting until you realize the shocking moment is just the equivalent of an illustrated snuff film. The entire issue is literally just Glenn being murdered in the most drawn out, painful way possible, in front of Maggie. It's just pages of illustrations of Glenn getting savagely beaten to a bloody pulp while the group is forced to watch in horror. By the end of it his head is completely bashed in and he doesn't even remotely resemble himself.[/SP]
The last scene just ruined the entire atmosphere of the show.
