I always feel like what's happening in the show crossovers what he's currently writing with in the comics and vice versa.
For a few seasons each one has kind of been similar to whatever current issue they were on.
Like how issue 136's cover reminds me of what's currently going on in the show.
But Andrew Lincoln did an interview.
What I remember of it is that he said the first three episodes are crazy, but the last four episodes take the show in a new direction.
I'm quite excited to see the whole beth storyline play out. It seems really interesting.

Plus I don't even understand how they will do Negan without swearing and massive sexual innuendo being allowed, though they will probably do a very watered down version of him if they keep following the comics.

I'm a little disappointed that those rumors about Kevin Durand from the Strain being cast as Negan were false. With a little bit of make-up and grime, he definitely would've looked the part.

Yeah, no f-words. If you take a look, none of the characters in the show is really vulgar. And Negan is REALLY DAMN vulgar. So I'm not sure how he'd fit.
I'm sure they're aware of how easy it will be to fuck Negan up for the series. I would honestly prefer them to go with the tv-friendly broadcast versions and the uncut versions on the blu-ray release. If you didn't know, that's what they did for the end of last season.

They honestly should have just used this one for the premiere. Sure there would have been a few complaints, but as the last sentence in the entire season, it could have been pushed under the rug and people who were upset would have forgotten it by the time the show came back. Not to mention it was at like 10pm on sunday, not like many kids would be up at that time. Also who cares
