as a reader of the comics, a fan of the show for what it is and as a witness of this forum i can really say:
Fuck you all, this was a damn fine episode, a real season finale and im proud to say that it was not disappointing at all.
It literally closed the drama of what this season was about, and opened a lot of doors for future development.
And if you complain about them making it look like an action film, you should know that television usually does this kind of stuff...it always does.
[sp] WHERE IS THE FUCKING SHERIFF'S BAG OF GUNS [/sp]
Also [sp]the governor is supposed to be a season 4 regular, but he's gone so far off the rails and done so much damage already that I can't see him doing the same shit for a whole other season. He needs a different role if he's going to be around all the time.[/sp]

[sp] I'm sure they will get it back as they will probably scavenge and scrap stuff from Woodbury later on. They might show this and possibly show some more back-story or allow the characters to see how he was for themselves where he worked. I'm sure there was more stuff he did that we didn't see, like maybe we will possibly see more of his Journal if he doesn't go back for it himself. [/sp]
Super crazy idea popped in my head
(comic spoilers)
[sp] What if The Gov becomes dwight. Like Negan puts the Gov in his place. and the Gov completely hates him. and he follows that story line.
I know its not likely to happen because hes probably going to die in season 4, but that would be such a great thing.
I really think they are setting the gov up for the hunter's story arc. the three of them will take some1 that was bit and eat their foot. or something
or Abraham joins the Gov. [/sp]
I really wanted [sp] some rick on guvna action. like, some fist fight they get into. I agree with the rest that the war was pretty damn terrible. I enjoyed the episode overall, it just wasn't what I expected. It was pretty bad ass to see the prison chase the army out of there. [/sp]
also, as ricenchicken said (comic spoilers) [sp] It would be pretty cool to have the Guvna disappear until Negan appears, and have the Guvna take the role of Dwight. It would add a really interesting dynamic, especially if they include the plot point that the newest issue presented of Dwight teaming up with Rick. [/sp]
My money's on the series coming back with a huge bang. Every show has a weak season.

This show already had a weak season

This season was hardly weak.
Also, I'm sure hoping that they go all out with the prison idea. That is, I hope they don't ditch it half way through season 4 unless its pretty spectacular. I feel that if they decided to stay with the prison, they should go all out. For instance, I'm hoping to see them clean up the prison a bit, with the extra hands they have, and get Herschel growing food like they did in the comics.

I loved this season don't get me wrong. I also loved the finale. It's just that so many episodes could have been merged somehow.
Alexandria?

I didn't see a weak season.
[sp]"I know how the safety works" - hands her a revolver *Bang* *Shell casing drops*[/sp]
I think that[sp]Andrea definitely could have kicked him back while she was taking off the other cuff and not gotten bit.[/sp]
That's too cliche, and having a full blown armed conflict in the zombie apocalypse just wouldn't be smart.
Irl you have things building up like that, but Rick was too smart to go full psycho like the Gov.
Never go full psycho, you'll have a bad time.
It is too cliche but that's what's been the whole hype around this season finale. That it would be a full blown armed conflict but it wasn't.
I think that[sp]Andrea definitely could have kicked him back while she was taking off the other cuff and not gotten bit.[/sp]
[sp]She could have possibly escaped faster if she didn't take those pauses just to talk to Milton. I guess she couldn't multitask.[/sp]
[sp]"I know how the safety works" - hands her a revolver *Bang* *Shell casing drops*[/sp]
I think that was meant to be the [sp] gun hitting the floor since there was only one sound of metal falling. I don't think they would be that dumb to mix that up. [/sp]
edit: [sp] Nevermind, you were right; there was two drops, one the shell(I think) and the other the gun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sERKEr1d-Z0 [/sp]
[sp] Andrea didn't have that bad of a death, it was pretty cool
I mean, Ricks gun is fucking awesome[/sp]
[sp] If Ricks gun dies I'll stop watching the series[/sp]
[sp]She could have possibly escaped faster if she didn't take those pauses just to talk to Milton. I guess she couldn't multitask.[/sp]
[sp] She had her hand free but for some reason instead of stabbing milton she was trying to free her [/sp]
[sp] The Guvna left Milton in the room, left, had his speech, then arrived at the prison, only then did it show Andrea talking to Milton. It must of taken a good 20-30 minutes to get to the prison, I'd think, why the hell didnt Milton tell Andrea to get the pliers then? [/sp]
[sp]I don't care that the Governor didn't die, I am ticked off though. But as long as he doesn't appear in atleast the first part of Season 4, I'll be fine[/sp]
[sp] She had her hand free but for some reason instead of stabbing milton she was trying to free her [/sp]
[sp] she did get both hands free, but he was to close to her. Even though she still could have gotten her legs to kick him away [/sp]

[sp]He was unconscious. But tbh I though Andrea picked up that he had dropped something there for her.[/sp]

[sp]I think I hear a tiny tingling noise right after the shot but I can't tell and I don't want to turn my speakers super loud because it's 2:30 am[/sp]
[sp]It was anti-climatic, I expected a massive showdown like the comics but the show is different. It was a good episode but not a true finale, but the Governor has gone batshit crazy, lost support and seems to be in a weak position. What I find interesting is that it is going to open up a lot of things with characters and all (Tyresse and all).
I mean it wasn't a bad episode or anything, it was good. If that was the second last episode of the season that would be better.[/sp]
My dad was disappointed too, although he knew it was going to be a fast episode nearing the end due to all the commercials which played more than normal for some reason.
[sp] Hopefully the next season's first episode will make up for it![/sp]
Anyways, between waiting I'm going to order the compendium 1 of the comics. It's decently cheap where I am.
Sooo, when's the next season?
Yeah the finale was lacking ,especially the [sp] battle. It was just "Alright, run in and kick their asses!" and the moment Ricks group gets the drop on them Woodbury runs away like pussies. I mean, what? It feels like some rushed attempt of a season finale. Now we have a retirement community![/sp]
Sooo, when's the next season?
October I believe.
So the show [sp]took the kill-off option rather than make Andrea into anything like her comic counterpart?[/sp] Lame!
I like btw how Carl [sp]says that Rick not killing Andrew caused Lori to die yet doesn't mention T-Dog. No love for the black man.[/sp]
Guys you all just don't get it, now that woodbury is out of the way, the prison can start "humanizing" in a sense. We can get to see it become a real home (more farming, cleaning out the gym for events)
Also, AMC explaining the differences between TWD and Mad Men had me in giggles.
