anyone else been thinking about how they're going to pace the show out now? based on the comic storyline, anyway. season 5b will probably end with [sp]the crew reaching alexandria, maybe the finale will be the battle with that group that draws all those shitloads of walkers? maybe they'll somehow have the fuck off huge herd that abe&co saw on the road on their doorstep. but then again i could see the walkers walking over (hue) alexandria as a season 6 midseason finale,[/sp] but then they wouldn't want to rush into [sp]Carl's eyesocket[/sp] and i'd imagine that the s6 big finale will be [sp]eeny meeny miny moe[/sp] or at least a hint at [sp]Negan[/sp]
Dawn was so confusing, I never really got if she was good or bad.
She was just crazy.
She was just crazy.
debatable she did what she could to make the group work and survive as did rick
did anyone really expect [sp]Beth NOT to die?[/sp]
I did, but just not in such a hilariously dumb fashion.
Is it me or is the CGI becoming noticeably shit? I know that AMC have been slashing the budget for the show every season and it doesn't have the financial backing of a Cameron film but it wouldn't hurt to tone down the shitty computer graphics and use timeless practical effects.
the cgi is usually bad, but in the latest episode it was abysmal. like it didn't get the final render.
The CGI has always been noticably bad, which really sucks because in contrast to the practical effects they use, the difference is night and day.
Those melted zombies were awesome
Thoughts on the latest episode: [sp]From my view Beth knew she had to give her self up to free the people in that ward, a very kind, selfless act. Still, I liked her.. :([/sp]
[sp]Yeah, a selfless act that almost got everyone in the exchange killed.[/sp]
[sp]As if everybody was going to open fire like mad. Beth knew that. That would've been dumb as shit. She knew she would've been killed, then Dawn would've been killed right back and then they would've negotiated saving Noah. Nobody was ever going to open fire in a corridor on eachother. That would've had no tactical advantage. Beth knew Dawn was disliked by everybody else from her earlier fight and knew that they wouldn't have gone mad at her death.[/sp]
in regards to the cgi [sp]it's cable television. it will always be bad.[/sp]
I guess this is kind of show related I've just kind of stopped watching it. It just kind of got to the point where every Sunday I felt like I just had to watch it out of "obligation" I guess since I had watched it up until now. Not really in a sense of me wanting to watch the show. Now I just don't really care what happens in the show and I'm just sick of it being kind of a clusterfuck of goodness with mostly boring badness. I haven't really enjoyed the direction they've taken and although theres been some good episodes I still can't bring myself to take the good with the bad. I still read the comics and I'm present on it but I've honestly gotten to the point with the show where I can just say I'm disappointed with it and I just think that it had a lot of potential but they just really fucked up in the delivery. The past two episodes I haven't even watched, my friend just told me what happened and I don't really feel like I missed anything. Every week its just seemed like "maybe it'll be good" and often I'm just let down after watching and what I'll feel in my head is "thats it?" In the unlikely event that if the show gets better I can bring myself to catch up but for right now I'm just kind busy with stuff and theres better tv shows out than it. Cya TWD, it was good sometimes

TWD S1/S2 was great and fell off in S3/4. I hope now that some shit character are dead [sp]Bob and Beth obviously.[/sp] the show can go back to it's roots with surviving, scavanging and not growing vegetables behind a big metal fence. Much like Season 1.
I love the way everyone here expects people in horrible, horrible circumstances with deep emotional scarring to be completely headstrong and logical in extremely stressful situations. Like have any of you met a human being before?
I guess this is kind of show related I've just kind of stopped watching it...
It's agonizing, but I'm still standing. I can definitely relate, though. The quality has been deteriorating for quite a while.
[sp]Finally they killed Beth off. She was the most boring character of the entire show and I don't know why she was focused on so much this season. However her death should have been so much better.[/sp] Shit I'm so sorry I can't believe I did that sorry sorry sorry

Annmoyingly somebody spoiled it on Tumblr for me, but i didn't know how it was going to happen. I was still gobsmacked when/how it happened. Cohen did some really good acting when she saw her sister in Daryls arms.[/sp]
Might want to spoiler tag that, this isn't TWD facebook.

hey look all of the things I said were going to happen, happened :(

Maybe I'll get hate for this but I watch TWD mainly because it's the only show at the moment that interests me. It's a mix of a lot of bad and mediocre but sometimes it has it's moments. And I enjoy they put effort into their zombies.
i watch it because i like apocalypse settings (especially zombies) and, regardless of some of the dumb things the characters do, they're still interesting characters to follow. if you don't expect much (and don't take it very seriously) then it's a really enjoyable show, even if it isn't a cinematic masterpiece
If they ever kill Rick off that might be the day I stop watching. I know it may seem childish I just don't see how the show could work without him.
If they ever kill Rick off that might be the day I stop watching. I know it may seem childish I just don't see how the show could work without him.
I don't think they'd ever kill Rick, even if they ever decided to kill him in the comics. This is HIS story, I'm not sure the TV audience would follow the show as much without Rick being the leader.
pretty sure the whole [sp]"self-sustaining apocalypse survival" shit died with the prison, there's been plenty of survival and scavenging[/sp]
[sp] shit's about to come back though [/sp]
The second half of season 2 really wasn't that bad. In fact, season 2 on the whole wasn't bad, it was just the least good season. [editline]4th December 2014[/editline] the season 2 mid-season finale was one of the best episodes of the series.
the mid-season finale was not that great, save the last ten minutes. the season 2 season finale on the other hand, was great all the way through. because fuck you, hershel's shotgun doesn't need reloading.
Season 1 will always be the best for me, in terms of the moodyness and the atmosphere. But I think that's mainly because everything felt new at the time, also the fact Rick was just new to everything and him searching for Lori and Carl.
For fucks sake it's been almost a full week and verizon doesn't have episode 8 on demand yet.
