Yes, again, the point. They've adapted to the world, now they adapt to the people. Its what the writers intended.
Then it's poorly executed imho.
They also do indeed use the walkers a fair bit in the story still. You see them used as research, as weapons and as a means of defense.
great thing michonne did, to bad it's never used after. And they're a useless weapon if their noneffective, but i cannot deny that it was a smart thing Merle did using them as a distraction.
my friend was complaining how TWD turned from killing zombies to people vs people. Personally, I'm glad that it went from the surviving from zombies to the threat of other humans. First off, there would be no actual plot, and second, the survivors are now adapted to the Walkers. What's the point in 'surviving' when they're all pretty much experienced against the walkers.
I think this show got Lost syndrome. The writers wrote enough for three seasons but the network was like "actually this show is really popular we need six seasons", forcing the writers to pad the show out. I think [sp]the gov was originally going to die this season.[/sp]
Imagine someone predicting this ending [sp]ok guys so like, this is what's gonna happen Governor's gonna crash in shooting everything, grenade launchers an all that shit, and ricks group is gonna react Not a single death Then the governors gonna go all pissy and he's gonna shoot everyone that helped him except the mexican and the black guy because we all know that would be racist Rick and tyreese become bffs and decide to bring a whole bus full of old people into the prison Oh and some blonde chick dies Dumb x27 (list)[/sp]
I liked the episode but the Andrea scenes made me rage. [sp]1. From the moment the gov left to the moment she started getting the pliers around 20 minutes have passed... What was she staring at the ceiling for all that time? If I was her I'd check if Milton didn't leave anything where he dropped the tools, after all he didn't want her to die and she knew it. 2. All. Those. Fucking. Pauses. When. You. Should. Be. Saving. Your. Life. Are you fucking kidding me? You're gonna get fucking eaten alive stop talking or looking around and fucking save yourself. 3. It takes 30 seconds tops to pick something up from the ground with your bare feet and put it in your hand. I checked. When I was watching it I said "fuck it" and I actually fucking dropped scissors on the floor and picked them up with my feet and placed them in my hand. 4. Pliers vs handcuffs is pretty far stretch. But maybe those were some shitty handcuffs or she broke part of the chair or something. 5. She has one hand free and she's holding pliers, she also has both her legs free and a zombie is coming at her. What does she do? She tries to free the other hand. Why? Kick the fucker in the chest first, then fight with the other hand. Or better put your feet at his chest and just keep him away. Or best, stab him in the eye with the pliers' lug. I was shouting "die already you stupid cunt" the entire time. She did everything in her power to die. She deserved it and I'm glad she's dead. Also, it's pretty hard to explain to a roommate why are you shouting and picking up scissors from the ground with your feet[/sp]
Oh boy that was an underwhelming finale.
Also, it's pretty hard to explain to a roommate why are you shouting and picking up scissors from the ground with your feet
Just show him the episode, he will understand.

If they extend the prison storyline into both halves of Season 4 then it will be worse than Season 2 ever was. [editline]1st April 2013[/editline] Also, I can't imagine what the prison battle will be now. It's cool that [sp]the remaining Woodbury citizens were taken in, but in the end they're just cannon fodder that the writers can shield the main characters behind just for a 'happy' ending.[/sp]
why the fuck [sp]did everyone survive(at least the prison people)[/sp]
I'm just happy Herschel has old people friends.
The finale's starting to grow on me a little. The main reason I'm pissed is because we have to wait until October to get more episodes.
This. The episode wasnt that bad but the finale was. What pisses me the most is all the hype, and all the lies etc that the producers and actors were saying. Then it turned out to be a big nothing or at least to something dissapointing. Also the fact that they couldnt make it a bit longer. I mean come on if you could do that in season 1 why cant you do it here? I just hope that the guy who takes over from season4 as a producer will do a better job.
I'm just happy Herschel has old people friends.
Until one of them dies and turns into a walker while everyone's asleep and gets a mouthful of old Greene meat.

Honestly most people that like the finale sound like they're in denial

Well, I'm a bit disappointed... [sp]I did enjoy that Andrea finally got offed, because honestly she annoys the living crap out of me. I'm also quite enjoying Carl's development, and that speech he gave Rick was both spot on and hopefully a big eyeopener for how his fit of crazy has affected the people around him. I'm bummed out not more happened when the Governor and his crew finally went in, a short moment of gunfire, retreat, and no casualties (aside from that one kid). Then, the governor gets away. Then, a bunch of old people moves in. No end to the Governor plot, no new apparent threats, no new nothing aside from the prison now being shared with old people. Boring. It has all the let down of a cliff hanger, but none of the excitement of what will happen next.[/sp] Also... dunno if I should spoiler this or not... [sp]but who the devil is this Negan everyone keeps talking about? Is it someone in this show I've forgotten about, or is it a comic spoiler that a bunch of jackasses here simply forgot to tag as such?[/sp]
I don't see whats so bad, it doesn't have to be all action to be a good finale, personally I liked it.
Honestly most people that like the finale sound like they're in denial
I like it as an episode. As a finale, it's just mediocre. And we appreciate your condescending attitude btw.
I don't see whats so bad, it doesn't have to be all action to be a good finale, personally I liked it.
It left us a major cliffhanger, but not in an exciting way. It didn't give us an ending to this seasons plot, and it didn't introduce a new plot for the next season.
Yeah I actually don't really care what happens next season.
I hated how Woodbury people moved into the prison. I like smaller groups, now the group needs 4x more food than before. Also I wanted to see some action, the Governer taking a few people down. I also hated how Daryl had no role in this, even though the Governer killed his brother. Normally he'd freak out and shoot the fuck out of the Governer. I just didn't like how Daryl did pretty much nothing and how the Governer killed his people, made stuff so much easier. I hope we see a lot more action in season 4. Season 3 was good, till episode 11. Epsiode 10 had some pretty good action, but from 11 till the end, it was shitty in my opinion.
Missed the episode last night, and just finished it now. I liked it, though I wish a little bit more happened as far as The Governor and Rick and all. Anyone know where I can watch last night's Talking Dead? I like to watch those, (though I still wish they'd replace Hardwick.).
Damn. Don't know what you guys are talking about, that was a DAMN fine episode. There was so many things in this episode, you guys act as if the finale is supposed to close the series or some shit, it's supposed to close the SEASON. [sp] This season, it was about Woodbury, true, but it was also about Rick's sanity, and the drama between the group. Woodbury was dealt with, they have no more residents, does noone understand this? The governor's forces are made up of 2 people now! He lost all his other town residents when he fucking slaughtered them and when Rick took them. That's the end of Woodbury, the Governor will be a later threat, they're leaving that open because it's a plot point that can be used later, basic show practice. Rick's "insanity", as subtly shown at the end, has been... cured, I suppose you could say. It seems more, his conscience is clear now. Also, did noone notice how Shane-like Carl was this episode? He even pulled the line "I did what had to be done.", there was also some cool symbolism following it imo, when he dropped the badge. Honestly, the only thing underwhelming about this episode, I found, was Andrea's death. I didn't really like Andrea, but I didn't... HATE her. She was just kinda there. Milton's death hit me more because I wasn't expecting him to die. To everyone who was expecting a major assault or some shootout shit? Why? You say the writing sucks and then turn around and wish there was a mindless hollywood shootout. The short shootout was there to emphasize the will of the soldiers of Woodbury, most of them did not want to do it, and when they retreated, it just made the Governor more insane. If you went into this finale, EXPECTING mindless action, yeah, you'll be disappointed, but for a finale to be good, it doesn't need to have action shots for 20 minutes. [/sp] All in all, that was a good episode imo.
at least some people get it right.
I have some predictions for season 4. Here's to hoping it goes something like this. [sp]Episodes 1 to 8: Rick and his people struggle to maintain the enormous group now filled with people from Woodbury, while at the same time Rick tries to fix his relationship with Carl and convince him to trust his judgement again. During this time, Rick and Tyreese begin to develop a friendship, and romantic relationships begin to sprout up amongst the group. They enter a period of peace in the Prison. Meanwhile, the Governor grows more vengeful than ever upon returning to Woodbury and finding it abandoned. He commences a final suicide attack on the Prison, killing off several members of Rick’s group, including Hershel, Beth, Judith, Sasha, Tyreese, and Doc Stevens. A herd of walkers swarm into the Prison after him. Karen shoots the Governor in the head just before she is swarmed by walkers, killing him. Martinez and Shupert are both killed. The walkers follow the remaining elderly, women and children of Woodbury as they flee inside the Prison, and presumably eat them all. The surviving members of Rick’s group flee the overrun Prison in different directions. Mid-Season Finale Break Episodes 9 to 16: Rick and Carl spend several days alone together on the road. At this point, Carl distrusts Rick more so now than ever, and blames him for the loss of so many of their group. The two spend several more days alone on the road before they are reunited with Michonne. The trio travel together for several days and eventually end up back at the ruins of the Greene family farm. Here, they discover Maggie and Glenn have survived. Maggie is devastated by the loss of her father and sister. The groups is eventually reunited with Daryl and Carol. At this point, the group has absolutely no idea as to what direction they should head in next, and decide to stay put at the farm temporarily as the herd has long since moved on, and the farm is relatively abandoned. After a short time at the farm, the group is surprised by the arrival of several people making their way North - Sgt. Abraham Ford, and his group of followers. Rick is initially reluctant to trust the group, until one of them, Eugene, steps forward and tells Rick he is a scientist making his way to Washington D.C. with a solution to the infection. After some debate amongst the group, they agree to join with Abraham’s group and make their way to D.C. The journey North has begun, but the group is unaware that they are being followed by a herd of several thousand walkers. [/sp]
Sounds nice but [sp]the peace period from episode 1-8 would be a bit boring i think. Also tyreese should live because he is my favourite character and morgan should come back at some point. [/sp]
https://twitter.com/TheRickGrimes_ Twitter is forcing him to close his account. :( Probably a April Fools.
i wasn't disappointed, but it was a bit underwhelming considering it was leading up to be an all-out war
It would have never been an all out war, Merle killed 8 of the governors fucking loyals. Leaving him with a scared, untrained task force of asthma kids and rednecks.
I liked the episode but the Andrea scenes made me rage. . . .
This is basically what I was about to post. This and [sp]Governor being the person that kills the entire Woodbury army[/sp] just annoyed me quite a bit.
