Seriously? That trailer showed some pretty hype worthy stuff, and showed a whole lot more about the season then I expected a trailer to show.

Now see, I've read the comics too, and I gotta say that I got a totally different impression. Minor show/comic spoilers [sp] I'm pretty upset that they seem to be lingering at the prison for a while more, but it's starting to ramp into some proper progression as the prison is looking tougher and the cast is getting expanded, and it even seems to hint that perhaps the safe zone and prison arcs will merge this season. I will admit that even tho thats happening I still find the pace they're going painfully slow, but still, I have high hopes for season 4. [/sp]
show spoilers [sp] and I agree completely. not out of spite of Daryl or the fangirls who obsess over him, rather because he's been a great characters, and great characters deserve memorable deaths. with merle gone, and with that his plot armor, Daryl will probably meet his end soon eitherway [/sp]

I would cry if Daryl died.
But at the same time I want it to happen because it would be gripping as hell if done correctly.
Im not really all that hyped for season 4.
There wasn't much of a cliffhanger at the end of season 3.
I'am hyped for many reasons. If you have read the comics then you know how its going to go down. Also this new writer they got is fantastic, he wrote that very powerful Morgan episode.

Same. I'm sure I'll be more excited when it draws nearer, though.
To be honest if I like a show an end of season cliff hanger doesn't make me any more or less excited for it to come back.
I'm excited for it to come back either way. I don't really think about the cliffhanger at all in the time between seasons. Then it might pop into my mind about a week before it comes back but I don't really care, I'm mostly excited to see the characters and the universe again.
For me the only benefit of a cliffhanger is that the episode with the resolution has a quick start without taking too much time building atmosphere. But then it quickly winds down after it's resolved anyway.

[sp]IMDB says hes Bob Stookey who was sort of a main character from the novel Road to Woodbury. Might have a same back history as the novel and comic. Ex military whos a alcoholic.
The trailer for sure gives away some major plot points you might of read in the comic. One being the whole Tyrese thing and his daughter. And the mysterious killer in the prison. Since none of the prisoners survived, maybe a psycho killer came in from Woodbury. No twins to kill this time.

Now this is just a speculation not a spoiler. I think they may thread the line on the prison slowly becoming less safe the whole season. Then possibly at the mid season finale governor attacks and destroys prison and it leads to the finale with them coming upon the town from the current season of the comics. Plenty of time to build up new characters to have nice hero deaths of the current ones IE T-Dog.
By the way. Didn't Kirkman say he was going to write Daryl into the comics?

I mean, what could he possibly have? It be pretty bullshit if he had another army somehow.

The best thing to do with the Gov is to bring him back much later on as a (minor comic) [sp] Negan type character [/sp]

They're so many ways all of the character should've been infected, i've just decided not to think about it.
