The best thing to do with the Gov is to bring him back much later on as a (minor comic) [sp] Negan type character [/sp]
the governor is absolutely nothing like negan and that would be fucking terrible
the governor is absolutely nothing like negan and that would be fucking terrible
and the shows characters tend to be absolutely nothing like their comic counter parts. the idea of [sp] the gov surviving is fucking terrible as well. him coming back much later, changed mentally after what he went through would actually be pretty good, bro. soz. [/sp]
have you actually read the comics in any capacity or did you just read a quick summary of some of the events? Negan is nothing like the governor. Their personalities are completely different. There is no trauma, no path that could lead the governor to become what Negan is. It wouldn't make sense at all and it would just be a shitty failure of adaptation.

They only fill the same roles. The Gov wouldn't have to act like Negan to fill the same role as Negan.
The Gov wouldn't have to act like Negan to fill the same role as Negan.
to be honest, i don't think the governor's much of a "hey survivor camps, you're all my bitches and work for me now" kind of guy like negan, he's more of a "i'm going to remorselessly gun down your community and destroy everything you know and love and take your shit while i'm at it" that would already be breaking character of the governor's already well established personality as it is, wouldn't it? and that would also be trying to fill a role with a character who is not really built or established for it at all none of the recent arcs with the saviors would work or play out in any extent in the way they have if the governor was the leader

Just shut up, your argument holds no weight at all and you clearly have an extremely limited understanding of the comic and show.

None of them act like their comic book counter parts. I mean, god look how accurate Andrea is. It was a neat idea, you don't need to throw a fit when someone disagrees with you.

Hey a new black guy, i hope he lasts longer than one season
Hey a new black guy, i hope he lasts longer than one season
It's either him or Tyreese.

I wonder if it will amount to the normal series in terms of quality
Hey a new black guy, i hope he lasts longer than one season
It's D'Angelo Barksdale, so hopefully he does.
Spin off could be cool because we wouldn't have a clue what could happen, unlike with the current series. Would just be weird having the main show and the spin off on the same channel.
Now would you want the spin off to start from the very beginning or start it where we are now. I kind of want to do a mix in between so we don't have to get "story development" of another group figuring the walkers out.

I mean, (season 1)[sp]if every person who dies turns[/sp] then how would the world ever become normal again?
AMC is starting to look really desperate. Breaking Bad spinoff, Walking Dead spinoff, Mad Men's last season being split in half like Breaking Bad, and ads out the ass for Low Winter Sun.
I hope that season 4 is actually good. Season 3 pretty much killed my interest in the show.
I went to Breaking Bad while waiting on season 4 and even though the show's quality might be a little better, I'm still starting to get really excited for October. It just hit me this week that it's coming back in less than a month. Here's to hoping that season 4 is as good as Robert Kirkman says it is.
As much as like TWD it doesn't compare to BB. From what I gather the comics can get pretty dark but the show play some events more safe. Some characters were very underdeveloped and died when they finally got interesting.

What did T-Dog even ever do.
Be black before michonne was around
and to save tyreese and michonne having to die, they have that 3rd black guy now!
Really? I thought season 3 was fucking awesome excluding the finale.
I feel like in S3, the acting and writing really took a nosedive, and then the finale was just so bad. There were some bright spots, like Clear, and the episode where the Governor was tracking down Andrea, but that was really it for me. I've read that the dude who wrote Clear (and was behind my favorite episode, 18 Miles Out) is the showrunner now, though, so I have fairly high expectations for Season 4.
I really hope the trailer was just lots of bits from the first few eps. They need to ditch the prison ASAP, it's just not exciting any more... When they were first breaking into it, it was pretty crazy as they discovered all the shit locked up in there. But now... Nah, had enough prison, time to move on again.
but what would be the next exciting unusual hiding spot? disneyland?
Well to be honest disneyland WOULD be a cool hiding spot.
I watched a marathon of season 2 and 3 on AMC in the summer. There were too many moments where I felt myself questioning the characters and plot. Like, moments where someone is being a complete idiot for no reason or some ridiculous element comes into play. Notable moments include: - A zombie suddenly appearing out of nowhere in the middle of a moonlit field and killing the old guy in season 2 - The other old guy standing completely still and firing a shotgun for 10 minutes (without ever reloading) walks to a getaway car and survives, but some chick gets swiped by a zombie (while running) and immediately falls to the ground and gets swarmed - Merle, the guy with a SWORD for a HAND, losing a FISTFIGHT in season 3. Then, before that, him shooting at the Governer and some random idiot walking in and blocking the shot - The propensity of zombies to suddenly break established behavior or do something impossible Is the major appeal of this show being able to make fun of all that? Or am I completely missing the point?
