Its been brought up before, but with the potential spoilers you mentioned[sp]Kirkman already stated he doesn't want to chop Rick's hand off in the T.V series. He may be temporarily disabled in someway, but he doesn't want to completely chop his hand off since it'll limit the things he can do as a character.[/sp]
I hope so.
[sp]Why was nerd boy all bloody and shit? I really didn't understand that scene. He said he felt ill earlier, so his face explodes while he's having a shower? Although, with the pig... It's swine flu![/sp]

Although, with the pig... It's swine flu![/sp]
This is all just over analyzing it but. [sp]You find out the pig isn't feeling well. So its possibly contaminated with something. It might be contagious and effect the other pigs. Normally if a livestock animal is sick, it is taken away from the others to prevent contamination from spreading. Patrick(Nerd boy) takes over cooking for Carol while she talks to Daryl. This may lead to ill prepared pork. Making whatever was causing the illness in the pigs not to be fully cooked out of the meat, and have a high chance of infecting whoever ate it. Of course it could just be random illness, but my explanation gives more meaning to the death of the pig. [/sp]

[/sp]
That sounds brilliant and absolutely sensible, but I'm guessing it's something a lot simpler and likely happened off screen. When you mention[sp]the illness of the pig, could the pig have been fed walker flesh? With undercooked pork, I don't see how a bad case of food poisoning could lead to someone dying.[/sp]

Dying of something like that is unheard of for our times with our modern medicine. But think about what they're living in, without treatment something like this can kill. [sp]I bring up the undercooked part because normally, even if the meat has bacteria in it, thoroughly cooking will kill the bacteria and make it safe to eat.[/sp]
Not enough Maggie. 6/10 at best. Nah, pretty decent setup episode, in my opinion. The shopping scene was good.
ugh, that episode was horribly underwhelming, and I wasn't even expecting that much. It seems they managed to continue with every single complaint people make of the walking dead. Still, it was cool to see the prison in its state and it still has a lot of potential, its just clear they haven't learned from any of their previous mistakes. only scene I really enjoyed was [sp] Beth's learning of her boyfriends death. It seemed so, eerie. [/sp]
Old Rick Grimes he had a farm, Iiia iia ooooh!
here's a guy who does a thing (fro mthe official twitter)
It was so hard for me to not say anything about this to anyone. [editline]14th October 2013[/editline]
That's a facepunch member's dad IIRC.
Yep
Old Rick Grimes he had a farm, Iiia iia ooooh!
And on that farm he had some walkers, Iiia iia ooooh! I liked it. [sp]Didn't expect the shelf to come tumbling down when Stookey put the bottle back.[/sp]Fucking LOVED when [sp]the walkers started crossing the roof and you could see the roof starting to collapse.[/sp] Couldn't suppress a 'oh DAMN'.
It was kind of strange the way they skipped so far ahead after S3 and how they introduced so many new characters and relationships all at once, but if that's when needs to be done in order to avoid S2 levels of slowness then it's fine by me.
So did the woodland chick have [sp]her husband's decapitated head in a bag, or at least have his limbs removed? I was hoping it was, would be a nice little similarity to the game[/sp] [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] Also some people mentioned [sp]black army guy who wanted that wine beating up the kid / evil guy in the library, I have no idea what that's all about, explanation?[/sp]
I worry that they've introduced a few too many characters, to the point where our feels are too stretched. But still I'm glad it's back!
I worry that they've introduced a few too many characters, to the point where our feels are too stretched. [editline]14th October 2013[/editline] http://imgur.com/a/Pvy9R Has this been posted yet? Spoilers for the new episode, obviously.
The fact that they brought on about 17 people who are essentially dead weight bothered me.
http://imgur.com/a/Pvy9R Has this been posted yet? Spoilers for the new episode, obviously.
If that's true, next week's gonna be a goddamn riot.
If that's true, next week's gonna be a goddamn riot.
I've seen people bash this episode, but according to The Talking Dead the reason this episode was so slow is that everything they set up will be explained. So the reason it seems boring and chill is because they wanted you to feel how everybody's day-to-day worked before destroying it all. Like that part in a video game or movie where you have to watch them eat dinner or something to set you up (or clean your palate if you will. Set you in the mood of the characters) so they can just demolish everything in the story.
The weird thing about this episode (for me at least) was the jarring contrast between the traditional and cgi special effects. The zombie hanging from the ceiling from his intestines looked really good. The helicopter, on the roof and crashing through the ceiling, looked really out of place.
First episodes are generally slow due to having to set everything up. It was a great episode In my eyes. A little guessing but to me [sp] Daryl may be going this season. In an interview he says "everyone gets a round with the baby but me!" leading me to think he does get this infection. [/sp] I don't want that to happen but it may.
When Daryl was standing on top of all the boxes in the mall, was I the only one who thought he was going to make a jump and try to climb the roof?
When Daryl was standing on top of all the boxes in the mall, was I the only one who thought he was going to make a jump and try to climb the roof?
I kinda wanted to see him swing around from the intestines.
as goofy as that episode was I really enjoyed it

What was the deal with that zombie Rick kept looking at? There was this one hanging around at the fence that the camera cut to at least twice. Is it someone he knows?
Is there anywhere that I can watch the walkind dead webisodes other than youtube? Since youtube has decided to not make it available in my country for some reason.
What was the deal with that zombie Rick kept looking at? There was this one hanging around at the fence that the camera cut to at least twice. Is it someone he knows?
it had gammy eyes
What a mediocre episode.
I've thought about the episode a bit and watched it again, I take back what I said. It wasn't amazing but but mediocre is a strong word. It looks like its setting up some good things.
I think the main issue with this episode is that it was a Season premiere. It wasn't bad by any means, it just wasn't what we wanted to see from a show that's been gone for about 7 months.
[sp]The one zombie that keeps being focussed on probably shows how despite the fact Rick left in the morning and then came back at dusk, nothing has moved on. Beth is still available. Ha ha! My plan is still in action![/sp] I kept seeing references where there probably aren't any. [sp]Ed/Ted and Snowflake. Although possibly just like the game ending with the bowling ball bag[/sp] [sp]That supermarket scene was awesome but felt so theatrical, with Darryl standing on a palette of beer and shooting everything[/sp]
