2 and 3 both had their moments. 2 started out slow and got better, 3 started out good and got slower
Not that this is surprising, but the show's been renewed for a fifth season.
Not that this is surprising, but the show's been renewed for a fifth season.
getting 16 million viewers even against the NFL tends to do that.
getting 16 million viewers even against the NFL tends to do that.
Yeah, hence the "not that this is surprising" bit.
I like when they do stuff outside of the prison, I kinda want to see whats out there more.
I just want them to leave the prison and or start making the story interesting.
I've got no complaints with this season so far. It's clear they wanted it to be a slow build and I'm enjoying the events that are unfolding. [editline]29th October 2013[/editline]
It's just his attitude that bugs me. He seems all high and mighty like he's better than everyone else. It just comes off as annoying.
i dont think you're very good at reading people or their intentions though
It's just his attitude that bugs me. He seems all high and mighty like he's better than everyone else. It just comes off as annoying.
I dont think he's all that bad this season.
Carl is trying to act mature despite his age. He thinks he has a grasp on what his dad would do in certain situations. See: him stopping Hershell from going out alone, Rick would have done the same thing. Yeah, maybe it looks strange for a kid telling an old man what he can and can't do but he was doing the right thing.
herschel seems suicidal, going into the sick block, taking off his headband, wiping his mouth with it, touching all the sick people, i understand he wants to help as best he can but there are much smarter ways of going about it and he's a smart guy
I like the show but oh my god, sometimes they do stuff that's so fucking stupid. First, Carol did an entire 180 in her personality, she was pretty cool in season 3, but now she's acting different, not in a good way. Hershel is doing fucking stupid shit. '[sp]Daryl[/sp] isn't sick' excuse me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he was in there saving people from walkers.
Daryl spent so much time in the wild as a kid that he probably has a very above-average immune system
Daryl spent so much time in the wild as a kid that he probably has a very above-average immune system
Then whats Rick's excuse. Rubbing your face covered in contaminated pig blood is a great way to catch something.
Then whats Rick's excuse. Rubbing your face covered in contaminated pig blood is a great way to catch something.
Did they know for sure that the pigs were sick? Or was it just assumed? I personally thought it was that walker outside that began this.
Did they know for sure that the pigs were sick? Or was it just assumed? I personally thought it was that walker outside that began this.
[sp] See I'm thinking the same, that zombie outside the fence had died before the prison outbreak and that kinda kills the whole 'contaminated pigs' theory. I don't think that zombie was the cause either but it had to die to something that could be found inside and outside the prison, i think it's the water. [/sp]
you guys forget that rick mentioned the possibility that [sp]since they're all infected, they could have infected the pigs, seeing as how the zombie disease itself is airborne. clearly it got into the pigs and created some advanced hybrid form of zed-swine flu.[/sp]
i'm rewatching all the seasons, and in s1e3 rick says "we left him like an animal caught in a trap, that's no way for anything to die, let alone a human being" when talking about [sp]leaving merle behind[/sp]. it made me think about the starving zombie caught in the bear trap in s4e3, i wonder if it's intentional.

Plus, I bet it sunk into his pores. You can't get acne wash in the zombie apocalypse.
Thread tip: There is no "c" in "Hershel."

That car swerving scene with Daryl was awful, it was so obvious the car was going 5mph

Why was Herschel seemingly the only one who could make them tea? Why not make the tea outside, and then get someone healthier to bring it to the sick? I don't think it's because he's suicidal either, that speech he gave made me think otherwise.

If he has a chance to get sick and die he'd rather it be on his own terms. Is some of this stuff that hard for people to understand? It seemed blatantly obvious to me. Just because he wasn't sick already doesn't mean he had no chance to get sick.[/sp]
[sp] Hershel might be having usefulness issues as well. Kinda what I got from that office scene. [/sp]
I've been wondering, season 4 episode 1 spoilers: [sp]If Zack was able to shoot a gun, how come he wasn't in the Gov's army?[/sp]
I've been wondering, season 4 episode 1 spoilers: [sp]If Zack was able to shoot a gun, how come he wasn't in the Gov's army?[/sp]
I dont think he was from woodbury, I think he just joined the group offscreen during the timelapse of s3 to s4

The main problem this show has, or at least did have, is the lack of consistency in a show runner. It draws 20 million viewers in consistency now, but the first 3 seasons seem a bit off in terms of quality compared with each other. I like all of them, but with any decent TV series it needs to get its foundations right, and from what I've seen of Season 4 so far, providing Scott M. Gimple stays on it will feel a lot more expansive. That [sp]mega-herd[/sp] just gave me that impression. Carol is a good example. She hasn't got worse, she was just neglected a bit regarding character development and what we are seeing of her now should have happened during Season 3.
