Neglected characters in the walking dead are a dime a dozen though. The show seems to rely on fan favorites too much. T-Dog is probably the best example.an obscure character alive for 3 seasons, whom randomly dies and no one knows anything about him.
but t-dog had such good lines in season 2, such as
I liked it when T-Dog did that thing.
I'm honestly kinda pissed at the show's version of Tyreese. He's my favorite character in the comics but in the show, he's just generic character #340412.
I felt like the tyresse scene (you know the one I'm talking about) was kind of underwhelming compared to the comic.
I liked it when T-Dog did that thing.
I liked it when t-dog was black.
I liked it when this show was good. In the pilot.
I liked it when t-dog was black.
What? when was he black? I've never seen black people on this show.

The actor said his story would be gut wrenching. So we should eventually get there, from interviews of the actor and from Kirkman. The tyreese scene may just have been a tease with the real one next episode. (what I'm hoping for)
TV show Tyrese is being rushed as hell. I honestly don't think they should have even added him at this point, I hope they don't go the same route they did with his comic book character.
I'm rewatching the series right now, about halfway through season 2. One thing I've noticed so far is that the practical effects in this show are pretty goddamn good, but the CGI stuff is preeeeeetty shit. Mostly the blood splurt effects, and some of the walkers. Like, in season 2 there's that one walker, [sp]the one that had its head halfway severed that Glenn took out with that axe[/sp] and it looked so fake and awful. Meanwhile some of the gore like [sp]the walker's flesh getting peeled off as it tried to kill Lorie when she was in the car[/sp] looks really good. I wish they'd stick with that practical stuff and not do any of the CGI.
Yeah sometimes stabbing looks a bit off too. The CGI isn't always the best in this show.
tbh i think the best gore in the show is when somebody gets torn up, or when they jab walkers in the head with sharp objects. it just looks so real and... satisfying? [editline]31st October 2013[/editline] mitochondria or whatever her name is is the biggest perpetrator of bad CGI gore in the game because all she does is use that sword that dismembers everything [editline]31st October 2013[/editline] jesus christ i forgot how bad season 2 carl is fucking carl
Honestly, the gore in this show is...stylistic, I suppose I can call it. It's B-movie style, over the top, "let's show as much as possible even if it doesn't make sense" stylistic. Not that it's bad, it's a legit option when dealing with gore. I prefer stuff like the pilot though. Most of the bloody bits were done with a gun, so it's a far simpler effect that they could pull off a lot easier and make it look good, and the one melee kill I can think of is done just off-screen. Plus it made shots like the nurse that is completely eaten away much more grim because humans (zombies or otherwise,) weren't made of some kind of mush that just melts away as soon as teeth or a sharp object touches them.
it's zombies, of course it should be gory
it's zombies, of course it should be gory
Well, I suppose. It can be counter-productive, if you're trying to sell something as dramatic or real and then someone like Michonne (or however you spell her name,) walks in and starts chopping heads off like it's nothing... Well, it drew me out. But I guess I'm used to it now, zombies are so mushy in this show you could probably kill one with a small tap with a pencil. Have they talked about decomposition in this show? Or the comic?
Have they talked about decomposition in this show? Or the comic?
They mentioned it quite a bit in the comics, I think. I'm pretty sure they said something about in the show too.
They haven't talked about it in the show, but they've shown it. Just last episode actually. [sp] That zombie who was pretty much grown into a tree. So it is happening slowly[/sp] What I don't understand is how winter doesn't kill them all. The human body is mostly water, and without any source of body heat they'd freeze easily. I'd have to imagine freezeing a brain is sufficient damage to it. Has the comics covered this at all? I haven't really read that far into them.

They move horribly slow in the cold and have a hard time functioning, but in the warmer months they unfreeze and regain some movement speed. Decomposition has been mentioned in the comics as they have found some zombies that are actually just totally black and cannot move anything but their mouth. They do just all rot after a while.
Potential episode 5-8 spoilers w/ people living near shooting saying something. And Rick saying something in an interview! Interview [sp] basically he says it's the biggest thing we've done for the mid season finale. [/sp] What people said in July.(comic spoilers) [sp] they heard a loud boom which could mean a tank. [/sp] Now future episode spoiler/speculation (comic spoilers) [sp] the gov. Comes back in ep 5, having two flashback episodes (6-7). Some are speculating that we see the gov rolling up in the tank on episode 5 then get the two flashbacks. Then the mid-season finale starts. And the group does get split up in episode 9 so it may be a cliff hanger mid-season finale. [/sp]
Man i just reached Season 3's episode where they [sp]save Glenn and Maggie from the Gov,man Michonne sure did it nasty with the Gov's eye[/sp]

Daryl Dixon FTW!

I feel that without it the story would unfold more naturally and would surprise you more often when your previous choices are mentioned, but currently it most just feels like a spoiler that tells you "you now know that these specific words you said will be referenced later in the game". It kills the magic by telling you exactly what will and what will not come back to bite you in the ass
Yeah, but I felt that just ruined the story letting you know your decisions had consequences.
I thought this was the whole idea behind the game?
