The story could change because Daryl would know Rick and crew, and that could be more motivation to turn on Negan because he misses them. [/sp]

Although I've really liked S4 thus far, this is one thing I don't understand. [sp]I know Rick and Carl fighting together are ultimate badasses and everything, but how exactly did no one manage to kill that horde at the fence? Luckily Kirkman also said the show may or may not follow the comics, hence why both are being worked on at the same time. If you like pure comic canon, read the comics. If you like an alternate take, watch the show.

Well, on the snitching part, let's be honest. [sp]Psycho Carol teaching a group of kids, including one girl who is more batshit insane than The Governor, how to use knives wasn't exactly a good thing. I think Carl had every right to tell Rick, since Rick, whether he likes it or not, is still seen as the group's leader.[/sp]

i do follow kirkmans plans, he even said that if rick dies, carls going to take the lead, but thats for the comics, it makes sense, the way the comic approaches its story makes it aesthetically correct to have a mortal rick who can die in any moment, AT THIS POINT, where he has been through a lot of shit. At the series, it wouldnt make any sense, and the audience response as a majority wouldnt accept such a change i think. This is no Game of thrones.
Try to keep the comic and the series as their own things, some parts wouldnt work on the other side of the media.

Would be amazing to see him before the outbreak, given how a pivotal part of his character is his utter lack of control before the turn and his rise to control and self-actualization after it.
I doubt we'll get to see his wife though. The woman portraying her in the picture of the Governor, his daughter and his wife, is part of the film crew and not an actor as far as I know (saw her a few times on behind-the-scenes stuff).

TV Carl kicks some serious ass, he and his dad are a fucking great team and I'm glad they are beginning to add in that element to the TV series.
